I am living in a woodhouse which has 2 floors. the first floor for garage and relaxing, the second floor is bed rooms. 2 months ago, blood was coming then gone. after that i saw mushroom appears in our house (wood pillar). Do you think it is a good way to grow mushroom natural way?
Ok, I think I have figured it out.
Do you live in a log house? Like something out of a Cabela's or Bass Pro store?
The 'blood' is pitch, or tree sap. Usually it is clear, but as it oxidizes it turns amber, and as it dries it can get dark, all the way to blood red, even black. Really sticky stuff, and really flammable.
Some shrooms grow in a wood substrate, like Shitake.
If your wood is raw and exposed in your home you may want to seal it with something so that it doesn't rot from the humidity in the home...I mean you are growing shrooms in there accidentally.
