First thing I would do - not use EC and ppm in the same equation.I was just looking to get a recent thread going about how much you guys like to feed.
Super Soilers: How much of what do you amend? Do you have to feed by flowering? How often are you watering a matured final potted plant?
Hydro: What does your EC look like is the reservoir?
Soil: What kind of EC do you feed with and how often?(Feed/water)
about how many times a week are you watering or feeding?
I have been playing around with different strength feedings recently and i'm just curious what it's like for you guys?
I used to keep ppms around 400 until flower without deficiencies but i've just recently tried bumping up on some a 303 Kush i've been running to see how she reacts.
I went from 100 or so (Tap+AN CalMag Xtra) in seedling to a steady 500ppm(1.0EC)
Then I raised it to 750 and this week I tried her at 1000. No burns for her yet but leaves are some of the biggest I had for a little baby!
How do you guys like it on average?
I would very much use them in the same equation for the purpose that ppm doesn't tell you what ec conversion their tds meter uses.First thing I would do - not use EC and ppm in the same equation.
Then I would ask what medium y’all may be using.
Then what light at what intensity
Then what strain
Then what temp / humidity / air movers
Then what stage of growth
What type of water ie RO/ tap / distilled
Then what nutrient lineup / amendments
All of these things make huge difference in your nute formulation. No need to give heavy nutes to a plant under poor lighting?
One more thing, I'm feeding 1000ppm under a 100w mars hydro. Most would consider that inadequate lighting.First thing I would do - not use EC and ppm in the same equation.

I wasn’t trying to be a troll I was just in a thread where buddy is doing things on the cheap, he may think that while we may use 1.5 EC of solution that he should do the same! But his setup won’t handle full load of nutes, much like a dude with super lights not using Co2 to assist the plants so they can utilize the extra flower power!I would very much use them in the same equation for the purpose that ppm doesn't tell you what ec conversion their tds meter uses.
Also, I would assume everyone is using adequate lighting because it's become ever more affordable.
I wasn't asking for everyone's grow setup, that is a much larger thread. I'm looking for a consensus and the opportunity to share others findings. I'll let the thread develop itself as opposed to forcing everyone to run through their (sometimes multiple) environments.
But I agree with you none the less.
Would you be willing to show me to that thread? I'd love to give some input on the cheapest he can get away with without sacrificing major quality!I wasn’t trying to be a troll I was just in a thread where buddy is doing things on the cheap, he may think that while we may use 1.5 EC of solution that he should do the same! In addition if we want to use ppm we need to know the factor. Whereas EC is stupid easy. Sorry for butting in... great thread I’ll follow it!
Hang on I’ll see- it was just in new posts have a look. Looks pretty cool super cheap like 15 bucks!Would you be willing to show me to that thread? I'd love to give some input on the cheapest he can get away with without sacrificing major quality!
Nope you can’t and shouldn’t, but it helps to have a common formula that helps others understand what’s actually happening. It’s of little use to say how much of X I use if there is no baseline. Especially so if you are seeking help.Got to agree that people need to put a little more information to make it useful to others. Can’t force em though!
Been Doing this for years,in Auto Pots.Soon has a Seedling has its first true leaves ,0.5 ec for a week. Then 1.0 for a week ,1.1 ec week after, 1.2 week after that, week after 1.3 week after 1.4 ec, right through into flowering. Then leave them on 1.4 ec till around week 4 ,then i up the feed to 1.5 ec..Using Canna feed, with big bud week 2/4 then pk 13/14 week 5,for a week. Also using Coco 60/40 with clay pebbles.Does not matter the strain,i all ways do the same. The plants i have in the main room now are at start week 5 ,this thursday. But there still on 1.4 and they seem to be doing great so i aint put the levels up to 1.5.Yet.I was just looking to get a recent thread going about how much you guys like to feed.

No matter what strain,Awesome
In your experience, would you say that nutrient levels can be adapted to, by any strain you have grown?
I have never had a "light feeder" and if anything I've only found plants that instead of showing yellowing, they can just handle more mutes?
Which nutrients?Don't need a PPM meter, just over 1/2 strength gives tip burn.
Edited to say Canna Flores.Which nutrients?
I use 150% of my nutrients recommendation or 1.5x strength.
I do like that simplicity especially for someone who is growing for fun!Edited to say Canna Flores.
