CFL’s

So on my first grow I went with a 19w 2ft led light for the first 3 weeks did really like my results. So this time I’m going with 2 100w cfl’s daylight cool, and 1 cfl that I have no clue wat it is. 6 days old vision seeds Northern lights autoflower, soil. Lights are 6 inches from top of canopy. Are my lights to close?

apparently, CFL's only have a few inches of usable light transfer so, you'll have to have them as close as possible, within a few inches of the plants

I’m only using them till the are big enough to take the 1000w led. I think a 315 cmh would make my tent way to hot only a 27”x27”

if they are 6 inches then no should be good. used cfl's as well used 6 of em on 3 plants 2 per plant at 6 inches from the plant. plants did great. then i upgraded to a 75W led kept the LED light super close at 5-6 inches from the top cfl's for side lighting at 5-6inches no issues. i then upgraded again to a 2000watt advertised actual draw is in the high 300's 375-392 depending where i get the info from that is some state 375, some 385, and the company states 392. can't keep these ones close plants start to get heat stressed at 18" so i keep them 24" high but under 30 max. i really dont mess with cfl's that much i mean like canuk showed i don't want to deal with cfl set ups like that i rather just invest in better lights over all.

all i can say is invest in better equipment when you can and you won't look back. cfl's can grow some nice plants you just need a lot of them and i doubt they can grow anything as big compared to say MH and HPS/LED's lots of cheap LED's out their i bought mine for only $220 it's not the best in the world but fucking better then what i was working with so i can't complain.

is it actually 1000w? what is actual draw? but i wouldn't see why not just don't put them too close like the CFL's. when i swapped from my 75W ( not actual draw ) to the 2000watts they showed signs of heat stress. eventually went away but then again i did start doing other things to combat the heat in my grow room as well such as opening the door and turning my fan higher.

this is just what i would do but i would get them maybe 30inch above the plants then see what happens. drop it by an inch maybe until i hit 24 inches. if your plants can handle under 24" then try it but me personally i don't want to risk it that young

It’s says it’s comparable to a 400 hps. With it power consumption being 180w

i mean it is up to you but yea you can run them under that light for sure it's been done countless of times from what i've seen on youtube. just make sure your heat and humidity and all that is in check and i don't see why you'd have an issue unless the lights are too close.

i mean if you take a look at it i run my seedlings outside in the hot sun hotter then what the cfl's i was using put out. they did great. just wasn't enough sun for me to keep it outside thus why i started growing indoors. but with indoors i have to deal with the heat cause unlike outside i don't have that huge air flow and natural breeze too keep the plants cooler. my plants do great outside if i can get 18/6 but realistically i get like 10/14 only
