Have 5 by 9 Gorilla tent, Can 50 filter with variable speed Canfan max 8", QB 288S Lighting
looking for advice on decent humidifier and good dehumidifier(southern ontario weather growing main floor room temp setting for tent to setup in-outside exhaust ).
For climate control was considering the Grozone Control SCC1 Temperature, Humidity, & CO2 Controller - Simple One Series
but thats alot of coin anyone comment on these controllers perhaps? other better options?

not sure I can swing that much for dehumidifier, would this not work for now?

I assume going to a better dehumidifier negates the need for a humidity controller as I would guess a high end unit would have its own controller?
The controller not sure, I had been under impression Grozone was better than Titan but really that is from reading not experience.

Small home Dehumitifer are not meant for growing, you can get away with them for a bit, but I’d bet the Quest will out last 10 of them , n do it better on less power.
You get what you pay for,
They have a built in control for humility.

The only difference between the titan controller n the grozone , is the name sticker , buy what ever one is the cheapest.

Are the all in one controllers worth it?
Any suggestions on what one is best?
I agree you get what you pay for, will need to maybe find something in between the quest and a run of the mill basement dehumidifier as spent a lot on setup so far, running out of funds lol.

I don’t know anything about the light u plan on running & you need a lot of light to take advantage of CO2. I would avoid the CO2 n controller, I wouldn’t bother with it in a tent, and you really should have your grow dialed in before adding it. And then you need lots of light to take advantage of it.

But if you wanna run it then have at her .
I don’t like all in one controllers, it can cause to many problems if something fails.
I’m very happy with my Sentinel controllers for CO2 n lighting . I use the grozone Day night fan controller, n they do a good enough job, I try to keep it simple.

I am just about done building lights now, 30 watts sq foot(1300 watts for 45 sq feet) of mixed spectrum of QB 288'S V-2 and samsung strips as well in 3000k and 4000k.
What wattage per sq foot will CO2 be needed or help?
I try and plan ahead when i buy as i do intend to run a CO2 system but as you say getting dialed in first is best plus I need time to save up for proper equipment as that will add a fair bit to setup cost.

I don’t know anything about LEDs,
I priced out a DIY unit to replace a DE1000 and it was 4 times the price.
I lost interest. When the manufacture drops the price , I’ll look at switching .

very little heat I can say that, for me it was energy savings over life of light will pay for itself.
but it is costly that's for sure.
prices are coming down plus when new samsung horticultural LED strips come out this spring everything will drop in price that is existing now.
I have gardened a lot, just never pot indoors , thanks for your advice.
any strains you suggest you like?
I have rosetta stone,med-man Maple Ridge kush, super silver haze-red congolese mix all just in seedling stage.

I am not experienced enough with tents to answer that intelligently. I ran a sealed room and it's a pain regarding necessary air exchange. Temperatures were another issue even in an otherwise unheated upstairs room in Alaska. In my case. Others will have better information hopefully.

I haven’t ran any of those strains. But I can see problems flowering the Haze n Kush together. The Haze will stretch a lot more then the Kush, and try to take over the canopy it will also probably want 4 more weeks of flower. You can do it, just need a plan to keep the canopy even, and them contained to their own space.

I’ve been very happy with Chuckers Paradise gear, shameless plug I’m releasing 77 packs of Haze99

thanks for heads up on heights for plants, i can lower or raise some lights to suit each plant as they are about 300 watts per light (500 ish HID according to posts I have read)
When can you go from veg to flower?
I started dec 20 th when they broke ground from seed.
do you have a site you sell seeds on?

Really depends on your plant count & setup and if your using reg or fem seeds. If you plan on training , how well you control the environment and how many problems you have . All this will factor into how long you will veg .

I’m going to put an add on strainly and some IG banks.

Sealing a tent is tough what I do is seal the room the tent is in and co2 enrich the entire room. The tent ventilation keeps the tent cool ( remember with co2 you need higher temps to take advantage 86 to 94* . Before someone said something about wasting cot in a much larger area than needed yes it takes more co2 to enrich the area initially however it takes a lot longer for the co2 level to drop and the regulator to kick back on. As long as you are not running in and out of the room the co2 tank lasts just as long and it is easier on the regulater.

Thanks for reply, sealing room is not possible so seems the CO2 idea will not work.

regular seeds, I can grow up to 16 legally, may top them after reach 5th node which should be next day or two
