Look, eventually people are gonna be eliminated from most productive functions, we're talking 20 to 30 years into the future and just extrapolating current and past trends while looking at coming technologies. If you live in a free country most people will be on a national income of some kind.

Firearms will probably be banned in the USA within 30 years too, the second amendment is on it's way out you can see the ground swell building. The NRA is finished because they committed treason and is now bankrupt with much of it's leadership resigning in disgrace, criminal charges are coming for some of them at least. With in 6 years most of the states and all of the federal government will be controlled by the democrats and the republicans are going to be in disarray and divided, probably into two parties. Even in the south the GOP is in deep trouble.

Get on board with HR1 and get your country back in the hands of the real people, you'll be hearing a lot more about HR1, so will the republicans.

If the government can constitutionally ban machine guns and artillery pieces they can do the same with automatic weapons. The intent of the original founders (real important to the right I might add) you know the originalist, conservative judges, was for single shot muzzle loaders, shit they can even restrict it to single shot flintlocks, no caps allowed and no second amendment violations either. The SCOTUS has not tested this yet and it will be interesting to see the results with the originalst on the court, they'd be more of a concern to you than the modern "liberals". To these people the constitution is a dead document, not a living thing like it is for the progressives.

Speech is not a physical thing, arms are (and are subject to legal definition) besides, speech is covered under the 1st amendment, a different thing. Interpretation is up to the SCOTUS and you'll have better luck with the second amendment among the liberals than among the conservative dead document crowd. This issue has yet to be tested by the SCOTUS, but it will be. Like I said, if the state can restrict the caliber of weapons and machine guns, they can do the same for not just automatic weapons, but for repeating arms as well.

The Economic Argument
People engage in voluntary exchanges because they anticipate improving their lot; the only individuals capable of judging the merits of an exchange are the parties to it. Voluntaryism follows naturally if no one does anything to stop it. The interplay of natural property and exchanges results in a free market price system, which conveys the necessary information needed to make intelligent economic decisions. Interventionism and collectivism make economic calculation impossible because they disrupt the free market price system. Even the smallest government intervention leads to problems which justify the call for more and more intervention.
