Just built H influx strip light - lux ?? Help!

I just built the first out of 6 lights I am setting up. I’m running 10x H influx 2ft L06 lights in series powered by HLG-320H-C1400B. I will be making 6 of these in total but for now I just built one to test. I elimated the dimmer with waygos for now.

I started her up with no problem. I used the “Light Meter” app and it says 11,000 lux when I position the camera 18 inches away. What does that calculate to in Lumens???? I should be at about 56k-57k lumens per fixture according to Samsung’s calculator.

I also put it on a killawat and it’s running 343watts but it says 2.80 amps. It’s a 1400 driver. I don’t get why it would say 2.8 amps at the wall.

Light meter app is now saying that 3 feet away.
Heat sinks are warm. I’m very confused to as why this driver (1400) is reading 2800 at the Wall with killawatt

@DubJ Kilowatt meter reads AC line current, voltage, and watts at the wall electrical socket. 343 Watts AC = 2.8 Amps AC x 122.5 Volts AC. (Watts = Current x Voltage)

Wall is AC voltage 2.8 amps with a 110 volts AC going into the driver, then the driver converts the AC voltage to a DC voltage of about 230 volts DC you would have to measure the DC output side to get the 1400 mA and a killawatt meter wont do that. You are good the driver is rated @ 320 watts and you are getting 343 at the wall. Those stripes have to add up to close to 229 volts DC for the driver to operate that at that high of a wattage so good job there. Can be tricky running led's in series and getting the maximum wattage out of the drivers.Just get a app that does lumens , most will do both lux and lumens

Ahh ok. That makes sense now. I was worried I was going to overheat the strips because I was reading 2800 . Thanks for clarifying.

I can’t find a lumen meter app on iOS and there are no local stores with it available. I’d love to get some trustworthy stats now as opposed to waiting for a physical meter to come in the mail via amazon. Any suggestion on what app is available on IOS?

There is no cheap Lumen meter you would need do do some math to convert as Lumens is an angular metric of light and simple sensors are not capable to read this.

I'm running 6 of the same strips L06s on an hlg-240-24a running at roughly 1667mA and they are rocking. I love em. I have them in 4k. Mixed in with (4) F562b 4k on a hlg-150H-24b and (3) F562b 3k on a hlg-120h-24a I got em before the tariff tax went up. I paid 11 bucks a strip I think. They are 20 bucks a strip now. For the L06s. But they are super bright.

Then I have (12) F562b in 3k on a HLG-320H-24b and (6) 96 Diode Sunboards in 2700k on a hlg-240h-24a and (4) custom made 120 diode 60 deep reds, and 60 HE photo reds on a Lpv-60-24
For a total of 610+ watts. I revamped my old light I gotta put my reds back on. Right now it's only 560+ watts. I'd like to throw some L06s in 4k inbetween these.

Actually hes pulling 240vdc at 1400mA I bet they are really close to 24.0v maybe 23.95vdc


Edit: never mind they are 22.4v at 1430mA so hes jus a tad under prob like 22.0vdc ×10 220vdc

If he was wired up for 240 volts the wall amps would be about the same as the driver 1.4 amps. To get 2.8 wall amps the supply voltage would have to be around 110 volts AC.

Not sure about apple apps, surprised they don't have any. They are a dime a dozen in the Android Play Store. Really the light is going to put out around what Samsung says it does, they wouldn't still be in business if they lied about their products. If you really want to get into light measuring you are going to want to learn about PPF and PPFD because lumens are for humans and PPF is more about what plants can use for photosynthesis. PPFD is just taking all the PPF measurements and calculating them for a given grow space. But yeah for sure look in those for light measurement for grow spaces.

I edit it and said 220v DC. I seen where they only pull 22.4vdc at 1430mA hes at 1400. Ten strips is 224v DC. The driver maxes out at 229v DC hes really close to the max. I edited my previous post after I posted it. Bc for some reason I was thinking hes 24v DC for 240 volts. I'm talking about the output side of the driver. Not the AC side. I know hes pulling 2.8@110v and I know Amps lower as you raise voltage. I'm an electrician. I was just agreeing with you. That's hes close to max on the dc side. It's a good fit. Hes close to 100% load where the driver is most efficient

Those apps aren't accurate.
$15 for a lux meter is a good investment, especially for less experienced growers.

Thanks for all the info. I’m going to order a lux meter. After building these I kinda wish I went with the A drivers instead of the B drivers. I don’t see much benefit in remote dimming. Oh well next time. I attached some images. That’s 2 side by side. Measurements are 40” x 41”. Each 4x4 area will be powered by these so about 680w from the Wall.
