What’s going on??? Please help

The perlite and smart pots are the reason I must water everyday. I'm going straight coco next run for that very reason.

Cold coco or anything will stop growth dead in its tracks

No one told the company's making it or the stores selling thousands of pounds of it.lol

I say perlite mixed coco is better. I don't want to water everyday is why I'm switching back straight. It didn't make any deference with me besides watering more.

Ever tried automated drip irrigation from a reservoir? Works pretty well.

Well I couldn’t resist and I watered them tonight because I felt the pots/coco and it felt cold still. Even though my room is at 80F. So I got my water up to 69F and gave them water. Hopefully that warms them up a little idk. Now I will wait a couple days before watering again. I’ll keep you all updated in a few days. Hope this works .

Woke up this morning and wondered what my medium temp was. So, put a thermometer in there and cams back an hr later. My air temp is 75, RH 40%, the coco medium is 62.4
I’ve tried reading to see what a good medium temp is but I haven’t found anything . I should have done this before I added the warmer water and sen how much it came up if at all. Any thoughts ?

Little low but not badly. I just dumped out a pot and the coco was way cooler then the air temp.. Don't pore hot water on your roots ever or cold water. Luke warm (room temperature) I Ariat my water so it's always room temperature 72. What are they setting on? Not cold concerete right? Good question I don't know what the recommended medium temperatures are. I'm sure someone on here does.

Yea I have them about two inches off the floor on those 20oz bottle Pepsi soda racks so Plenty of air flow under them. The water I gave them was dead on at 71 also. I hope leaving them for a couple days is all I need to do .

Thanks for the replies everyone. A lot of you are saying I’m over watering, which is what my gut instinct says too. But from what I’ve read, when you keep your coco saturated, you have less build up of salts because you aren’t letting your coco dry up like soil. I’m getting a little run off every watering/feeding. Have any of you watched growpotcheaply in YouTube? He waters twice a day , and is getting 2lbs off of autos, and so is another dude named somehighguy. I watch their channels religiously, and
They are growing the biggest autoflowers iver ever seen in my life. And they both swear by watering/feeding every single day like it’s the holy bible. That’s really the only reason I’m second guessing myself. I’ve read to treat coco like hydro because it has zero nutrients so you should water/feed every day, and no matter what, coco holds so much oxygen that it’s very difficult to over water. But damn, they aren’t happy I’ll tell you that.

I follow growpotcheaply as well and I followed his method to get monster autos as well. His method works ive done it. What I think youre doing wrong is not increasing nutrients and youre not feeding until a good amount of runoff. Also your need to water the coco entirely. I can see some dry spots on top. Get a heat gun to see your temps on the bottoms of your pots. I have my pots in tubs on top of 5 gallon buckets (14" off the ground). My temp on the pots is about 65f which is damn near whats ideal.

You’re correct about watering entirely . I’ve been watering only around the plant basically. I thought about that too. I’ll shoot the heat gun on the bottom of the plants this morning and see what the temp is and my next watering I’ll water the entire thing. I have been getting good run off though. Thanks for pointing that out. I know Neil knows what he’s doing, in fact I asked him what he thought the problem was and he told me I need to up my feeding. I’ve been giving them 200ppm and usually by now he’s giving them 300-400

Well the plants look a little better this morning and as you can see the temps of my coco at the bottom of the bag on the outside at least are good. The tent is at 75 and my RH is a little low at 35 but we’re having a cold spell here and there’s Jist not much humidity right now. I could throw the humidifier in there but i think after I water them all it’s gonna go up so I’ll wait . The rust spots I’m showing you are exactly the same on every plant. Started off with yellow dots first now rust, which to me is a cal mag issue So, I’ll check on them to tonight and see if they will need some water. If they do, I’m gonna bump up my ppm from 200 to 300 and saturate the entire bag and see what’s gonna happen. Hopefully the rusting stops I’ll make sure my water is 70 degrees also.

Hang a wet but not dripping towel next to a fan in the room and tou will get the humidity you need but you have to mist it good everyday.

Dont know where you got that misinformation. Pure coco is all I grow in. Adding anything else messes with cocos exceptional buffering capabilites.

He says to water around the rockwools edges for the first week then after that week water the media entirely.
Heres a run I did with his 4 inch rockwool on some autos outdoor I grew.

DAMN! See that’s what I’m trying to do. That’s killer. I’m watering the entire medium now, I was doing the whole watering around the rockwool thing for two weeks though.

That's a beautiful tap root but it also has very little to do with anything other then support.

The most important thing is root hairs and then after that lateral roots.

I'd much rather my roots look a little more like this instead. Go in real close and see all those beautiful microscopic root hairs. I know you're in coco but the idea is exactly the same.

The bigger the roots the bigger the fruits. I know that roots only feed from the tip. I use radicle bags which create many side roots after air pruning the ones that come out of the tip.
Current Dead pruned root tips. All those nasty brown stains are a product I use called recharge.

What you have read is bullshit about the saturation.
You need to have a coco/perlite mix at 70/30 , you need to let the medium dry between waterings like soil also you need to reduce the ppm they are getting overfed atm they dont need much food they are just seedlings.
If the coco is good quality and well washed you wont have much salt build up like soil , just make sure when you water you fill the bottom saucer each time.

ive run coco for over 10years and at peak feeding which was after 5/6 weeks in flower they would get feed every second day till good run off occurred,sometimes everyday but not many times i had to do that unless the temps in there came right up,I would only feed when they were almost dry,grab a hand full from the top(alillte down into the medium) and squeeze it hard and if water comes out then they didnt get feed,if the tops dry i would check the bottom by giving it a finger test up threw the holes.if thats dry feed her up,simple.
Dont over water coco,it holds water very well.
i ran 80/20 coco/perlite with a clayball layer at the bottom for better drainage
I found if u give them a teaser feed then waited about 30mins then flood them they would hold the water better,if i just hit it with nutes it would run threw way faster,these were huge plants that yielded a pound plus,15gallon pots,I never had one crop fail doing that
