Hey everybody. New to growing here. I’ve started a 3x3 tent grow under a higrow 600w led (250 true watts).
Recently I’ve noticed that the first fan leaves that sprouted are starting to turn yellowish but the rest of the foliage looks pretty good. Is this normal or is this a sign of some sort of deficiency?? I’m going to switch to a 600w MH/HPS ballast when my plants get close to flowering.

I’ve been feeding them RO water and just started feeding them some general hydroponics series at 1/4 strength.AE9FDAD9-C67C-48F7-8C85-4CD9F92DC71A.jpeg31D78F4D-5510-46EA-93ED-9C9BE74104F6.jpeg

All 4 are blue dream feminized seeds.

What substrate are they in. We also need a picture without the blurples on.

The medium is a general potting soil and I added in extra perlite along with a bunch of worm castings. I took those photos through my UV filtered lenses, do you need a picture with the grow lights off?
Yes please put one up. I don't grow in soil but others will be along who do and they will need those pictures.

How do you water? I believe the bottom leaves are dying because they are sitting on the soil.
I’ve just been using a water bottle with a few holes in the bottle cap. The seedlings are staying pretty short.. I have my light hung 24” away from the pots, perhaps too close?

Edit: i try to avoid drowning the bottom foliage when I water them.

Cardboard pots are good to start. But yes you should transfer soon.

I don’t think your light is too close at all.

lights are not close, likely just the strain had same issue with 2 of my plants then later they stretched then started stacking again.

looks good except the leaves look like their are some issues. 1st set of true leaves are dying too early imo, rest of the plant is showing some signs you need to take into consideration. honestly i wouldn't even worry about the first set of true leaves the plant should easily grow more nodes before they fall off but do take into note the leaves are dark green in the middle and a lighter green outside not sure what that indicates.

Should I just transfer into its final pot? I got 5gal fabric pots that I was planning on using as their final home.

I live where the natural water supply is generally considered as hard water. Purhapse toomany minerals? I have switched to RO water recently though and the PH has been spot on.

You could transfer. Or you could wait 1-2 weeks.

I always start seed and clones in cardboard pots before doing a single transplant into the final pot.
