I got a sample of this when I picked up some compost and worm poop from the local grow store. Anyone have any experience with it? My plants are about 6 weeks old in an organic soil mix I made. Says its just bacteria and micro organisms made as a byproduct from tilapia farming but it doesn't really say exactly whats in it, like which species of bacteria and such. Would you toss some in if you were me? Stuff definitely smells like its name suggests thats for sure, pretty vile

I used to use fish hydro-slate Basically ground up fish yucks) all the time... mix a little in water and give it to the ladies... the one thing I did find that was weird... one day I went outside early in the morning and I had like 5 cats in my yard all sniffing and licking at this one spot under my apple tree... I was baffled at first... until i realized that was where I had been throwing all my extra fish hydro-slate water that was not needed for the plants, to help enhance the apple tree... I was worried for a while someone would notice but then figured wtf would then even think if they saw that!? hahahaha

Yes I would try but understand too

many fish farms around the world suffer serious bugs, and ticks even a type of lice

you need to ask how these guys are handling that

What Chems are used? Howzit gonna affect my seed Is it organic?

good luck

Personally, it takes a pretty impressive freebie from the grow store for me to take it home. And this one did not make the cut for me. As soon as I see anything about microbial inoculates in liquid form with fertilizer added I just think.... not a chance I need this product for my soil. Thanks but no thanks.

Do you have a link to the product?

Fish products are pretty good for MJ. I have used all sorts of brands. I never had a bad experience.

It looks like pretty expensive shit, literally...5L is $400...that would last you forever though, they recommend like 5ml per gallon
Probably good for limited indoor space or something like that.

Anything with enough root space won't need this.

There are tons of products out there. You don't need to use all of them or even the expensive ones to grow top shelf stuff.

Insect frass, shrimp meal, fish bone meal these are all great, but you really don't need that much..Composted manure is cheap and works great.

Expensive fish poop? Sure, i guess. Get a fish tank.. After about $100 you got your own fish shit factory.

Go find a fid a coi pond to clean..I bet they would pay YOU to do it..

Haha right...I just wasnt sure if I should go ahead and use it since I have this sample. I'm in 7 gallon pots and I've already added a fair bit of beneficials with the mykos, Oregonism XL, Bio-tone and my local compost/castings

i wouldn't bother with it man. you got plenty of good stuff in that soil. i've seen bio-tone do some amazing things for organic grows.

Funny story. I got a few samples too a while ago from the hydro store and the guy said "Just don't open it in here". Well a few seconds later he knocked one on the floor and it opened. Hahaha, that's a strong smell. I'm sure it's good Shit, but my wife would not be happy to smell that inside. I would try it outside though. I know the thread is old, but thought it was kinda funny.

It's very good stuff but if growing outside you better have a cage around your plants or opossums and skunks will dig them up
