Hey guys!
So this week I did a mighty job of snapping my autoflower's main stem at day 25!
I topped the plant at day 21, so the plant was still recovering abit stress wise from that.
I was doing some LST when I overpulled accidently, and snapped the main stem right after the 2nd true node. Completely off! Was holding it in the air! I panicked! I quickly got some masking tape and proceeded to get on my knee's and perform surgery. Moments passed on, But I got the stem exactly in place from where it snapped. After reading lots on the internet, Most suggested it WOULD NOT make it. No hope, some said use as clone, some said throw it away and accept losses. But I wasnt having a bar of that!
Heres some photos evidence to show the progress of snapping an autoflower's main stem clean off at day 25.
Strain: GSC Fast buds.
Day 25, Stem after surgery.
Day 25, Full plant. Starting to flop, Fan leaves buckling the fastest. Shrivelling and turning dark green. The tops of the plant were also starting to discolour.
Day 26, 24 Hours later, Looking Sad! Discolouration and funny texture on fan leaves.
Day 27, 48 Hours later, starting to come back! its a miracle! so soon!
Day 28, 72 Hours later, She's coming back boys! Mighty quick.
Day 28, 72 Hours later, Stem progress shot. Will leave the tape for a few more days.
This autoflower has been a tough plant. Impressed!
There's always hope!
Also still new to growing, Silica is okay to start feeding from week 2 onwards ? 1ml/ Gal
Any reccomendations & Advice would be great.
