Is there some kind of fastener (for the wires) on that other orange cap or are those some crazy wirenuts? Easiest thing you can do is go get an extension cord from the dollar stor. Strip and splice the wires then throw on a couple of wirenuts or some electrical tape. The colors don't have to match up because it's alternating current.

Also might wanna think about drilling a self-taping screw to the chassis to tie into the ground prong of the extension cord. Then plug it into a surge protector.

Know how what? I just told you what you need to do. You say you don't wanna grow under lights you wired but you're asking how to wire it.... give your self some credit and stop being a pussy. Just make sure no bare wires touch and you don't have to worry about blowing your hand off. If you're not going to wire it why are you asking how to wire it? Take it to a certified electrician and tell him to put a cord on it.

It is a lot of work, I had the same thing a couple of days ago, right now I still have it laying on my station floor. You need that wire and you need to attach it to the wires, I saw them at Home Depot for about 4$ each, but I haven't been there since, and I don't want to bother.

That's what I'm saying dork... you need that extention cord to be wired to that other plug so you can plug em together. I asked if there where fasteners on that other orange plug for the wires....... but you somehow managed to skip over that part, huh?

it takes a little work and yes you need to do a little wiring yourself. It's not that hard tho just a couple of screws.

Dude I've been looking on Youtube for a vid for you, but I can't find any, best bet is to take it to Home Depot, or somewhere where they would be glad to help you out. Goodluck : ]

Go out and get you a grounded extension cord and a roll of electrical tape. It'll cost you like 6 or 7 bucks at the dollar store. Cut the female end off and cut back the insulation to expose .5" of bare metal. Insert bare wire (black and white) into their respective holes and you're good to go. If you cut off too much insulation, wrap in electrical tape. Don't worry about the uninsulated (or green) wire.

I'm just going to take It to the store and ask for the connecting piece. This sounds way more complicated then It should be. I'm assuming these parts should come preassembled...ES thanxz alot for all your input, where are u from?

I'll be sure to update you guys and let u know what happens

Thanxz again
