It won't be too much, thats for sure. You might need one of those for each plant, they aren't truly 600 watt lights. Closer to 100 watt true blurple lights each. 2 plants, max.

Welcome to RIU @Gaver42oh and good luck with your first grow. I use a 2 x 4 tent as well, also 5-feet tall. Five gallon pots will fit nicely. Advice in advance is not letting the girls get too tall before you flip to 12/12 for flower or the plants will grow into your lights and suffer. Are you read up on training tips like this thread:

I agree with @Couch_Lock. The Phizon lights put out about 100 watts each. I think you will find 200 watts is enough for veg or the first several weeks of your grow. I think you'd want at least one more for a total of 300 watts when you go to flower.

Hey, welcome to RIU

to start, yes both of those lights will do im sure for a 2x4x5 space ( not great, but more than adequate to grow a couple plants). I am not sure what you paid for them or if you have them bought already, you will be advised that there are many better lighting options before the philzons. If your still looking to buy lights, some guys around here can really set you up with exactly what you would need.

I wouldnt put anymore than 2 plants in 5g pots in there tho. I am using a 4x4x8 tent and 4 plants in 5g pots is packed in there.

If you were planning on quicker veg times, maybe 3x 3g pots would work better?

Main advice from this new grower to you is :

Dont over water your plants, especially when they are young. They dont need much water to survive and thrive. Once big enough, start soaking whatever pot they are in and then allowing them to almost completely dry out before watering again. Learn the weight of your pots when they are light and heavy, get that feel, then you will know when they are drying.

Get good soil ( Fox farms, Promix, Roots, Black gold, whatever) just get good quality soil.

Ph your water. many issues come from not ph`ing water.

Less is more and keep it simple with the nutes. buy a nice 1 or 2 part nute pack, no need to buy 12 different bottles of stuff, especially if your new to the game and dont go crazy like the bottle suggest, start at 25% recommended dose and work your way up.

hope this bit helps, other more experienced guys will be along to offer advice i am sure, some very very good growers around here. Best of luck on getting setup and growing.

Thats one thing I hate about LED tech. They love to use wattage numbers that have absolutely no basis in reality.
This...There used to be a time when false advertisement meant something.

Nowadays anyone can claim anything they want with zero repercussions, makes no sense.

Selling a 100 true watt light and calling it 600 watts is just downright deceitful

don't let the ultra lighters get you down.

those lights are 90bucks a pop free delivery (in the US) on Amazon. it's a good deal....

There's a good review on youtube with these lights - you can see 2 plants in a small tent with a single light and they STRETCHED like hell - so 2 of these will help control that.

but more than the lights you use it's about your green thumb. topping the plant/super cropping/ tying it down... all that needs to be applied in that size grow op. so read up on those topics....

don't pay attention to the 'wattage' guys. or the 'weight' guys yet.... get those first few plants flowered harvested dried and cured first...... first get the basics down...

once you have good basics and a good foundation you can start slowly looking at upgrades, improvements and what not...

Wow I didn’t expect to get so many replies you guys are awesome and now I haven’t bought my lights yet waiting on my check next week but I plan on growing with kindsoil it’s a premade living soil that’s very hot so I’d use it at the base of my pot then I’d add my medium on top of it and apparently I just need to ph the water and that’s it all nutrients are given from the kindsoil.
About the super cropping and topping and whatnot I’ve read up a lot on that so I plan on definitely supercroping and topping.
I also want you o get a Scrog net but I’m having a hard time figuring out the size of the mesh squares that would be good for Scrogging I feel like 6x6 is to big to hold down the branches propert

I really think you could probably get a better light situation for similar pricing, not saying the philzons wont grow weed, just saying for longevity and efficiency you could do better. Like i previously said tho, im still new to all of this, just passing on what i have learned these last few months.

Scrog screen holes should be 2-3" from the reading i have done. I know i have a 4" trellis net and the squares were way too big for scrogging. its more of a support net at that size i think.

GROWWEEDEASY.COM is your best friend

They have tutorials on everything you will want to do during your grow. Topping, supercropping, lst, mainlining, manifolding, you name it, they have a tutorial for it.

Also have a very good beginners section for guys like us lol

Best of luck
