I have been trying to pick an ethos strain for a few weeks now but I’ve been overwhelmed with other breeders and sooo many strains.
I’m looking to pick a strain by them possibly Zsweet insanity from the looks of it.
Can you tell me what your biggest yielder was and also your favorite and why?
basically I’m looking for something that’s going to blow peoples minds and that has a fairly quick turnaround.
Is there a strain by Ethos that you’ve grown that has just as good of yield, is just as potent and glorious but faster turnarounds then zsweet? I would like to be finished flowering within 9 to 10 weeks max
But quicker is better if possible.

Day 23 since flip: both sexed. Pistils galore! carried out light lollipop/ defoliation of both on day 18 (didn't wait for the org anic to catch up) the result were great they sprang up. Synthetic is drinking 1.5L per day . Ppms @ 1000 you can see the photos she's gonna go up & up... Cal mag at 1.5 ml/L
Smell is only just increaeing. Very sticky fingers after defoliation. Very reassuring.

Organic needs her cal mag to to stay @ 2ml/L any less and she looks dull(thanks for the tip on upper limits sshz). Only just getting into her stride. ppms @ 900. Drinking 700ml par day (approximate) no new Purple stems just the old ones(night temps have been as low as 16.c). I should have gone for a more expensive organic feed. Do you want a solid strain with few Hermie traits or you willing to go for a slightly more risky. Maybe make a short list of 5 (I know there's just so many and that's just ethos!!). Good luck either way!

Figure on 70 days, give or take a few, with most of the Ethos stuff. No getting around letting them finish properly. I’ve grown a lot of his stuff, but some were only 1 plant to try them. On my 24 plant grows, I would list them as follows:

Zsweet Inzanity
Citral Glue
Chem OG
Member Berry

I think I may be missing 1 strain of the large grows but have a mental block right now. I would definitely check out Mandarin Cookies. The R2D2 or whatever it’s called, the old time skunk, also is getting good reports by others. I found 1 seed in the Chem Og last night, but only 1 after a week of manhandling left while drying and trimming. Z.I. would continue to be my strain of choice from Ethos..........the Chem Og became my highest yielder by a few oz but they all did well in yield as that’s the first thing I look for.

Sure you know your bznz but one of the 2 mandarin cookies ethos state is loud AF. That & ZI, get ready for stank. Edit: I say this as I held off running ZI until winter because my amnesia haze run last year ran into summer and I was not ready for the huge increase in smell during drying. Was very problematic.

Seems like it would be a really straightforward nonproblematic strain Since it has old school parents

I've not heard anything but when I'm doing my research on a strain. Google the strain then check at least 4 forums then a look at the growers on IG and drop a compliment and question on their post. Also can pop a comment on a ethos post. Remember its one of the newer strains so you might need to look a little bit harder.

Smoke report and final entry here........

This is a strain that leans heavily to the Gorilla Glue #4, even though it's a 3 way hybrid with Durban Poison and Rainmaker too- 2 other strains Ethos is growing and using in it's hybrids. The smell is straight on GG#4, but the cola's range wildly from kush-like to sativa fox-tails and everything in between. Bag appeal is A+ no doubt, and it's the first thing everyone comments on. Weight is solidly high, but not record breaking for sure. And it has a greasy, slimey resin- not sticky like most strains.

Describing the buzz is more difficult. It's a creeper, and it takes around 10 minutes after smoking to really feel the effects. It's a complex high, with sativa effects early on and the indica body high (relaxing) comes on after an hour or two. It's not a slam in the face sativa, but does provide a lift and energy, while your head feels like it's in a vice, being squeezed at the temples from both sides. It really distorts time too, which i like- I smoke it and after what seems to be an hour or two later, actually is 15 minutes. I love when that happens.

It's very long lasting, which I attribute to the high THC levels, probably around 28%-30% I'm guessing. 3-4 hours after smoking, you still feel it and it doesn't take much to get the job done. I did find 4 seeds in 1 bud, but never saw a male flower- even after chopping everything.

So, another solid Ethos grow for me and well worth a grow for it's weight and high THC level alone. I like my sativa's to be a bit more fruity or spicey or hazey tasting (I guess what I'm saying I like sativa's to be more flavorfull)........this has none of those. It tastes like a deep and dank indica and smokes like a kush. But effects are probably around 70% sativa, at least the 1st few hours. It's only been drying for around 14 days, so it's surely not cured properly yet, and that's going to take a few more weeks- but I think I've nailed the important points.

Lastly, please don't think I'm disappointed in any way. I'm not. I think I just expected it to be a bit different than it is. If you are searching for a strain, I would grow their Citral Glue (which i loved) before this one, but others may feel 100% opposite. On to Member Berry........and as always, thanks for following along- I'm sure Ethos appreciates it. LOL

How come u would go with citral glue first?
Also I’m planning on buying zsweet
I have a 4 x 4 tent with a 6 inch carbon filter, plus a plastic seal with a zipper on door to room, do you think this is enough to keep zsweet smell in?
Also I’m going to do no till organic soil or subcool super soil and I’m planning on doing just low stress training (no topping)
But def some pruning,
Can you tell me what you would do differently your second time around with zsweet (if there is anything) or what I should be on the lookout for.
Also herme isues I def don’t want but sounds like that wasn’t a big deal.

Day 29 post flip.
Girls doing great. Both girls on 50/50 grow & bloom nutes (pinch of Pk boost). Reduced ppm's to 900 (don't be greedy skid!!!) Trimming smaller shoots lower down. Syn is thirst ++ Org is so so. Only noticed purple stems on synth in pics. Temps are low 16c nocte and 24 day.

Looking great Skid........my only suggestion is to take most of the sun leaves and push them below the canopy. Most should stay a bit downward and let more light thru. What's your lighting again?????

In the tent I have:
1 x 200w (actual power draw) full spectrum Cob LED .
1 x 130w lm301 quantum board (3500k) (I'm testing on this run to reduce energy footprint)
I have been slowly defoliating and they are looking much taller & health. I went back you your pics and zoomed in and had a good look at the defoliation your speaking of.
I'll tidy it up before next week. Really happy with the genetics so far.

Full bloom feed with splaash of Pk boost & terpinator

PH of feed 6.0
Smell came on in last 3 days
Ionic Gal (taller) is very gassy and sticky. Drinking ++ so I turn valve on/ off 24/24. Buds galore and long thick branches.
Organic Gal (shorter) Is citrus/lemon & orange. Sticky and loud AF! Lots of purple stems. She has just as many buds just they are compact. Drinks 700ml daily.

So for information...Both are about waist height.
I topped on day 37 veg and flipped on day 42. The problem was they (epically organic due to the nute lock out problem)were a tad short. In this environment Next run I will veg for 5 & top at 4.
But...I'm not having to rearrange lights and air scrubber.

I have tied back organic to open the canopy to let more light in. She is drinking 1L/day flowers smell orange & lemon medium sized only.

Ionic is improving awful skunk smell to slight lemon. She is drinking 1.5 L per day.

Both have plenty of trichrome development. Am looking at 2 weeks + - a few days.

Day 49 since flip

Despite me messing up the pH of feed in veg, This has been low maintainance grow so far. Both plants 30cm shorter than I'd like but it just means top & flip 10 days later next time. I'll take these two as they are thank you very much. I've been practicing cloning (poorly) 3/5 cuts fit and well if that's you thing.

Ionic girl stacking well. Sweaty sock smell has gone. Now citrus/hashy strong during lights on and very loud and greasy colas when touched. Trichomes are 60/40 cloudy/clear. After today half feed only with RO them stop nutes and replace with black strap mollases.

Organic.
Tied the branches back (outward to let light in) she is wet to touch from trichomes. Totaoly amazing. She has Same ratio of trichomes . same plan with feed

12 day flush planned for both.

You still have a ways to go.......figure 68-70 days total but it might be a bit less since your light isn't really strong and the buds aren't gigantic. Looking good though Skid.............
