Pc fan/adapter power question.

Hi. Im setting up a couple pc fans for a new veggy box. Both are 12v 0.05a. Im wondering if i can take a 9v 300ma power supply and use that for both.
Im thinking itt should run at 75%, and as long as the amp is higher on the power supply, im safe.

Hopefully someone can tell me if im wrong or right. Dont want to burn down the house

Just use an old PC power supply or buy a cheap new one for $25

Check eBay. You can get a good 110v/12v 15a converter for about $18 you can run a shit load of 12v stuff with it.

I have lots of pc fans I have run for years with power packs that adjust voltage from 12v-9v-6v-4.5v down to 3v.
Done this lots for a long time.
What is the consequence if its wrong? Bear in mind these are not used for pc cooling so the fan failing isn't an issue. Any other consequence other than failing?

PC fans will run @ a lower voltage. Some reviews you see on case/server fans in relation to spec output are done @ multiple variations of voltage to gauge the CFM/SP/dB outputs. I just wouldn't overpower something higher than their intended ratings. You should be able to find operating voltages/amperages that a fan can safely run within. You can also go the PWM route which a lot of fans are built for. I've had fans undervolted that have last more than 4+ years and default ran front intake fans last for 6+ years.
