Because of leds, the way they are marketed, hyped and trolled here.

Before that light and spectrum were more happy subjects everyone could join in.

Most here for years know its perfectly obvious what happened :-)

Why does every question about lighting turn into a mathematical debate on nonsensical lighting formulas and other stupid shit!!!!!

Because many growers are not focused on the concept of gardening and instead like shiny things they can brag about. My lights better than yours. I use the latest and greatest twenty different bottle of nutes. I'm growing the latest Great Pumpkin Silver Pineapple Dingleberry Haze and I paid $30 a seed for it!

That's just the way it is. It's that way with everything. Some people focus on the task while others spend their time playing with things to complete the task.

My task is to grow weed, make crosses, make seeds, etc.. And that's what I'm doing. If others want to play with diodes, heat sinks, bottles with shiny labels they are free to do so and I don't care. I'm going to do my own thing. In the end all I care about is what matters to me and it isn't what kind of light I'm using. All that matters to me is that I enjoy what I'm doing and I do.

So everyone just needs to chill out. Take a bong hit. And grow some killer weed.

Math makes the world go round.

Light as it's discussed around here. Is generally in the technically "wrong" terms.... Watts is not light, lumen's? Not the best way to really figure out optimal delivery in actual terms.
If you run Co2...You need to do the math right, to pare up ppm's being delivered to lighting. So you get effective use of both.

That clear anything up?
