I did want to come back on and mention I did another bag of vape, from the same material as the first time. I believe it just wasn’t dry enough on the first bag, but by the 2nd one, it filled the bag with a better, thicker smoke and I was a lot happier overall with it. I’m still planning on going til Monday I guess and then start choppping, but my anxiety was relieved about the overall quality of the product.

A late Friday into Sat report.......Friday was 70 days, rarely if ever do I go longer than this. I've decided on Monday, day 73 and will try to work 15-16 hours straight thru to get it all chopped the same day. Some stuff could use a few more days, other stuff could have been taken 5 days ago. On average, I think I nailed it. I have commitments for this, so it needs to get drying.
The whole family ganged up on me tonight, complaining about how everything stinks that leaves the house. Complaints were the dogs, pillows, etc. Yadda, Yadda, Yadda..........
Winter crops always dry better,, with the house heat cycling on and off. NO mold in the winter for me, no matter how dense the cola's are- and these are some dense and large budage. I'll snap an outside pic of an impressive main cola on Monday.

8 hours of cutting today, probably around the same tomorrow. Probably cut around 1.5-1.75 lbs. today dried, around 2.5-3 oz. per plant. All of these cola's were nice and dense. Smoked some of the scissor hash, which was good, not great (needs to dry some) but long lasting and very, very tasty. Probably 80% sativa high at this point. Today I chopped about 32 nice size main stem cola's, the picture below is one of them- these would dry up to around 15-20 grams each. For you picky guys, don't worry- I'll do a final trim on them after they dry some.

I'll put another picture of a container jammed pack with a lb shortly......final weight was exactly 70 oz., much better than I initially thought it would yield. This strain puts of a lot of really nice size cola's, but not all of them are super dense. Super stinky, great bag appeal and completely covered with resin. The high is mostly sativa and I'm reserving my smoke report to later as I've only tried 1 small bud off 1 plant so far. I'm taking a break from smoking and just doing my edibles for a bit. But at some point I will finish the review.
Not many strains rival the Holy Grail Kush stink, that I did a few years ago and swore I'd never do it again (although I loved it). This is right there stink wise. My wife had an eye procedure yesterday and she could hear the nurses in another room saying my wife smelled like pot. She's 59 and doesn't smoke, never has. As I've said, everything that leaves the house reaks.
My small smoke sample report: felt mostly in the eyes and temples, very long lasting and extremely tasty. It wasn't as potent as I expected, but that could be just the pheno I picked so don't pay much attention to this yet. Pic up shortly..........

On tonight for a formal smoke report..........actually a vape report with final comments.
My only worry up to this point was the potency........everything else already hit high marks: yield (one of my best ever) at 70 oz, tasty, smelly and an easy grow. Had to take it to 73 days, I could see people going both shorter and longer, I kind of went average. I flushed for a solid 2 weeks and I believe it really enhanced the taste and burn of the buds. I saw very little amber in the trichomes when harvested- this often happens in sativa's- they just won't turn. I cut anyway.
I tried a small bud a few days ago, dried in a food dehydrator. Buzz lasted good and long, but is wasn't very strong. Tried another piece yesterday, and it was better, but still not where i want it. Today, I vaped a Volcano bag- and it crushed me. I think it's a factor of the drying and curing making it better- remember, it was cut last Monday only 5 days ago. The house heat does a good job of drying the hanging stuff nicely. I'll need to burp it for another 7-10 days. The cure will really bring out the taste and smell too.
First thing i noticed was it affected my vision a bit- my eyes felt like slits. My temples feel like they're in a vice, actually my whole head felt like it's being compressed. It's been two hours since i smoked, still feeling quite buzzed, maybe a bit hungry too. I don't really feel any indica in it at all, but it's not racey or energetic at all. I don't see wanting to drive with this either. The buzz is all in the head. Potency 9/10, and I'm thinking it will get to 9.5/10 after another week.
So. if you're looking for a sativa kush- this is to be considered. I did find one seed, but haven't found another one. If you have any odor concerns around the house, then pass on it. It's a 10/10 on the smell scale- as bad as it gets. I may have to call in ServicePro to fumigate the house. Every piece of clothing, towels, sheets, pillows, etc. will have to be washed with a smelly detergent. I posted earlier that this is my 3rd favorite strain from Ethos, after Zsweet Inzanity and Citral Glue. Tonight i think I'll rank it 2nd, in front of the Citral Glue. A winner!

This will be my last follow up report on the Chem OG.......I have started a new thread, Ethos "Apex" so you can look for that. All future comments will be placed in that thread for ease.
All the reports back from everyone have been raving about the strain, no complaints or negative comments. "Excellent" seems to be everyone's single word comment.
I'm finding it quite strong, but with a very spacey buzz. It's all in the head, and very long lasting. As it continues to dry and cure, it's only gotten better. VERY tasty smoke, the smell brings a smile to everyone's face.
It's not a strain I would ever do again, but still well worth a grow. It didn't surpass the Zsweet Inzanity in terms of my favorite, and probably equaled the Citral Skunk. The smell alone would dissuade me from considering it again but if you are in the market for a kush, it has to be considered.
I wanted to add I am finding myself having to smoke a bit more than usual to get to where I like to be......instead of 1 vape bag, I might do 2 over an hour period. This has no ceiling though, and the more you smoke, you can keep getting higher and higher. But 3-4 hours later, I still feel no need to smoke anymore- even at bed time.
I did find 1 seed, but no more so I would say it's one of Ethos's more stable strains.

Sshz runs the nicest politest journals chuck him a Hi or a please. It won't hurt.
Sorry......been busy. About 25% of the plants will grow quite tall. If I were to grow it again, I would definitely top them or at a minimum, bend downward the main stem to spread the hormones so you'll go wider instead of taller. FYI- please go to the Ethos Apex grow I started if you want to ask a question, as I don't come back here nearly as often.
5-6 weeks later I wanted to post some comments I've heard back from others. From my own end, it moved very well with most everyone coming back for seconds and thirds.
Feedback has been all positive. It's quite strong if smoked in the morning or afternoon. Many people mentioned needing a nap after smoking- and I attribute that more to the high THC levels that the sativa type buzz. People love the taste, it carries well thru the smoking process. And more than 1 person has said- just looking at it and smelling it straight from the bag you know it's something special.

SSHZ , excellent review , you covered about everything ,i just ordered the chem og , wondering if you think its manageable if topped and super cropped to a lower ceiling scrog type grow? my ceiling is 7 ft so can't do much height beyond 5 ft really....just done a cresend0 r1 , citral glue and banana hammock run...cresend0 being some of the best ive ever grown in 20 years ...in every way except yield...banana hammock had wicked yield of huge greasy buds bud but a B grade smoke in my opinion ..
