Is this a common thing ?

So my plants were very little when went into flower by accident as put outside too early so revegged them ( this was 4 months ago) and did the usual 3 finger leaves till started growing normal again but about 2 weeks ago I topped for the first time in a while and where I topped is throwing out a couple 3 finger leaves and some 4 finger leaves again.

Just wondering why this is happening and if it’s normal months later from a revegged plant ? Here’s some pics of the leaves

Its still pretty early in the year for outdoors. It's still flowering time in the northern hemisphere. Spring soltice is next month i believe. Maybe she tried to flower, but the increasing sunlight is vegging again?

Other than re-vegging, leaves are a sign of health. You get 1 blade, 3 blades, 5, etc. consecutively. When the blade numbers start dropping, usually it's a problem in the root zone, or environment.

Keep an eye on them for the next week or so. I'm sure she'll do fine. What size pots are those, and how long have they been in there?

i wonder if it is heat stress to the root tips cause the plant is root bound. if no time for transplant i would at least insulate those pots you would be suprised how much it can help if its hot out and your doing container gardening
those containers look large enough though so maybe its just heat stress

I never thought of that you could possibly be right , my last grow outdoors I insulated my pot and never come across this problem and temps here are between 30-40 degrees Celsius lately , it’s just strange it’s only happening on the new shoots at the top only on the branches I topped and the rest is fine and it’s happening on both plants that’s why I was wondering if it’s something that happens to plants that have revegged when they were little as I’ve never revegged a plant that went into flower

I’m in Western Australia so it’s only just about to start flowering soon there’s still almost 14 hours of light a day, they are 9 gallon pots and the plants were transplanted into them about 2 and a half months ago, the temps have been pretty high lately like 30-40 degrees that could
be effecting the roots but the 3 finger leaves are only popping out of the top shoots only from the branches I topped which is why I thought was weird.

I’m going to force flower them in a couple days , do you think it will be a problem and should I wait for all normal leaves again ?

Haha cause I can kinda guess your location then and yeah when I tip I usually get a couple leaves with less fingers

And they shouldn’t be too far off flower I’m in QLD obviously not too far north cause my plants aren’t underwater , but my fems hasn’t started flowering yet either

Started flowering my 2 not long after this post , they looking decent so guess it was nothing to worry about after all , might have to give the bigger one a good prune though

Unless you worried about people seeing then I don’t usually cut / prune anything outdoors , that sunlight penetrates everything
