655W in 3x3 or 4x4?

I'll be getting back into growing soon and I'm going to build a COB fixture. I am pretty settled on running 9 Vero29 52V COBs @ 1400mA for a total of 655W.

I think it would be a bit overkill in a 3x3 even though I could dim them, but would it be good enough for a 4x4? My gut says it should be about perfect.

What you think?

Just right

Go with your gut! Sometimes the so called experts here are more about brand names and showing off. Like a bunch of 13 year olds comparing high end shoes.

Calculator says those vero B's are 2.4 umol/J 3000K puts out 169.7 PPF @ 1400mA . So 9 x 169.7 = 1527.3 PPF Total for the grow space. To convert it to PPFD you have to divided it by square meters so a 4x4 is 1.48 meters squared so 1527.3 / 1.48 = 1031.95 PPFD . Only thing I don't know is at what height Bridgelux takes their PPF measurements. But I would say you are good. Screenshot from 2019-02-04 20-56-31.png

Your slightly overpowered for a 4x4 tent. About right for open space, and almost enough for a 5x5 tent.

Thanks, folks. Once I move, I'll get set up and running. Can't wait to grow again as it's been a couple years lol

I run 660w of strips in a 2x4 and 575w in 32x32.
Flowers the fuck outta both.
Are you supplementing CO2? My plants were getting pissed with 450w of LED (HLG 260 + 4 F Strips) in my 3x3 so that you have less space and 125 more watts - unreal bro, what's your secret?

And these are under 575w of a mix of F series and H inFlux_L06 lm301b strips. Cranked up. Test run of clones in a 1gal.
The drooping are from a 30 day root problem. I had horrible temps our winter hit. And it took both these clones almost 30 days to root. But all new growth once they went into the flower tent. Have constantly prayed up.

No and my plants are happy
Damn bro that’s cool. I wonder if the quantum boards make too much of a hot spot. Idk but I’m at 400w total now and my plants seems happier. Maybe it’s just this strain, I’ll try full blast again with the next strain. Good shit

What's your temp and humidity at?
