Would a 1000w & 600w hps run a 8x4 tent?

Would a 1000w & 600w fixtures be sufficient lighting for budding in that size of tent? All the forums I read on here are from back in the day & aren't much help... Any information is much appreciated..

Yes, that will be enough. It's the bare minimum, but it will definitely be enough for flowering. You'd be slightly better off with two 1000s, or three 600s, but, with the 600, you will have a little less heat to deal with. You want 50 watts per square foot, minimum, and that's what you have.

Thanks,, I actually had just found the forums on lighting,, but u helped me even more,, thanks again,, I'm currently doing a 55x55x76 tent & it's too small,, so I upgraded..

Yes. These create a lot of heat though. You might need two exhaust fans.

I would run 600s in a tent, I wouldn’t run a 1000 without enough headspace though.

I will be running a 1000w & 600w air cooled hoods connected It's a 8x4 tent
