so I have been reading on here people ranting and raving about mc and thought I’d take the plunge. Happy all around I used the sample and decided to go with it placed an order for the all in one and some bloom booster and they threw in a couple of freebies to try. I thought that was kind of cool for a company to do. Anywho that’s my two cents.

Just got my sample yesterday. So far I like how easy it disolves.
I'm in promix. Are either of you? I'm wondering if I should be feeding every watering or every other.
I guess I can play it by ear and adjust as needed.
Just hoping for insight.
I got a feeling I'll be ordering a bag as soon as this sample runs out.

Just switched from GH, man this sht is easy, one part to mix, smelling like poo but my ph holds great with tap water
I’m following the suggested doses from the website which seems to be right on track, they love it so far

I use Pro-Mix HP but not exclusively. I've combined a 50/50 mix using Pro-Mix along with regular black earth. A little amendment is an additional 1 cup of spent coffee grounds and crushed egg shells that I let cook for about 8 weeks. Mix it up real good and dump into a 5 gallon bucket.

The mycorrhizae in the Pro Mix is a beneficial soil bacteria that work in conjunction with the plant roots systems. The plants excrete sugars that the bacteria love and the bacteria, in return, help gobble nutes to give to the plants.

You can feed every time but at lower recommended dosages. I have been feeding every watering at slightly less than 1/2 recommended dosage - 1 tsp/gallon of FF Grow Big combined with .5 tsp/gallon of Botanicare's Cal-Mag. Those are Imperial gallons which are 4.5 liters and are slightly bigger than the U.S. gallons. Watering/feeding is every three days.

They have been vegging for 42 days and no signs of leaf damage. It's the plan to use 1/2 dosage for bloom nutes as well - 1 tsp Tiger Bloom, .5 tsp Cal-Mag and 1/2 tbsp black strap molasses per imperial gallon.

Happy so far using in my RDWC system and outdoors. Easy to use and maintains stable pH. I add Bud Explosion during bloom and back off of the MC to reduce N during flower. Plants are VERY happy.

After 3 feedings I think I'll be buying there 22lb bag soon or whatever it weighs. My plants are flourishing and seem to love this stuff.
It's so much easier then the 3 part I was using.
It smells horrid but whatever if the plants like it I can deal with the smell.

I'm planning to run MC with autopots with water res. and thinking about the smell since i'm stealth grower.
When mixed with water , does the solution smell over time?

I don’t seem to have any lingering smells after feeding but when you open the bag you definitely get a blast of odor, good stuff though worth it IMO.

my res doesn't smell but when I open the container I feel like I just stepped onto the cow farm in spring. I moved mine into large tuperware type tub as last year it seemed to take in some moisture from the humidity, no harm done though. The tib also has the added bonus of closing off the smell. I have been happy with MC, I think the botanicare line I ran before imparted a bit more flavor but was it natural to the plant? I am not sure. Also with botinicare I was using like 6 or 7 products at 10x the expense and 3x the effort, so far very happy with MC.

My regrets, @Mustangmike, but without a generic thread for Megacrop, I thought I'd try here for some general questions. I choose Megacrop for my first hydro grow and haven't looked back. I hit 1 lb. with one plant. Excellent stuff, and an amazing price.

Anywho, I'm working keeping my rez antiseptic and recently went to a UV aquarium sterilizer. Seems to be doing the trick, but I read somewhere that these units in hydro can cause Fe, B and Mn deficiencies due to oxidation from the UV exposure. Anyone have experience or conjecture as to how UV would affect Megacrop?

Keep the roots in pitch black. Contrary to what you would expect, you don’t want an anarobic environment. The microbes are what break down the nutrient soup and make the elements portable in to the plant.

Been using it for 6-8 months and still have about 5 lbs left. Excellent results and cost effective. The actual products smells like poo, but my reservoirs dont.

Been hearing a bunch of positive things here as well and I'm willing to give it a shot.
I'd like to do a side by side grow with my current nutrients.
I noticed Amazon has the 22 lb bag for $101 with free shipping to me.
I'd have to figure application rates to figure an
Ec of 1100 or 800ppm.

They have a calculator on their site for feeding. You can go by weight, PPM, or TDS. If you haven't checked it out yet, I would take a look.

Thanks, I'll go over to their site and do a cost comparison as well.
If I can quit visiting my local hydro store for nutrients I will be a happy man.

It's good stuff. I keep it around 1.2-1.6EC which is about 6g/gal. I use some protekt to buffer my RO water (about 18ml for 40ish gal) and then add in the MC.
