A nug will dry a LOT faster for sampling if it's taken off the stem and remove and big leaves.
Probably true. But in the end if u hang it ON the stem for a few days it will be a more accurate test as to what you have. Its how u will do the entire harvest anyway.

(In other words I still believe in the old myth/logic that hanging upside down will get every last bit of THC and terps you possibly can at that point in time. Can't say I can verify it scientifically but its always been my opinion).

If you're looking to sample, quickly, then snip a big handful of lower sugar leaves, dry them then get the keif off. Quicker than drying a nug.

I have a big (1'x1') dry-sift screen with a glass underneath.

You can leave a little veg in if you want to sample the taste, but if you just want to test the buzz you can do it in a day - or less if you have a dehydrator. I wouldn't dehydrate a nug though.

Oh, snip all the stems off and it dries twice as quick - but dry them too if they look frosty.
