If anyone is still reading this thread I was wondering if you could tell me where one buys this auto affie I keep hearing about and the other question is can you top the iranian autoflower when it is outdoors? Is a ten gallon fabric pot a good enough size for it? Thanks.

the auto affie is clone only....greenthumb got a hold of the clone and made s1's than lied about the lineage,,,
I'm not saying you are wrong but how do you know this and do you have any proof?
This claim has been made a few times and those making the claims have not proved to be the most reliable of sources.

Hey Buckets, I'm probably guilty of necro answering here but...

Regarding auto affie, you might find the seed write up for Hasha, a Richard Williams seeds product at Hemp Depot Seeds interesting. I have grown Hasha and it was pretty quick flowering, but I had some mold. Might have been my fault though, as it was on the edge of a fairly damp area. Morning mists etc.

Yes you can top the Iranian auto, but I recommend tying her top bud down when she's still pliable rather than topping. I like to coax the plant auxins to be my friends.

I'm a big fan of Dr. Greenthumbs Iranian auto. It has idiosyncrasies though. For instance while it can be cloned and is what I consider a semi-autoflower, it will jump to flower and stop vegging if it's not introduced to the outdoors under the right lighting circumstances. After some trial and error, I just veg them bigger under constant light and stick them out after the solstice. I've seen some seed packs present plants closer to a true auto flower, while some were closer to a quick flowering photo period. I've pollen chucked dozens of crosses with this and have been pretty impressed with the results. A great plant for the pollen chucking tool box.

It's not really an autoflower, it's photosensitive. I grew 5, started indoors on 4/20 on 20/4 lighting. Put outside @ 22", on 6/21 and harvested 5oz/plant on 9/12 in 2011. Very strong smoke, some of the bud got mold so I made bho.

Hi Rob,
Have you tried Greenthumbs "Goldmine"?

Hello Dr. Gruber,

I have run some trials on them outside. Bigger than the Iranian and some of the ones we grew finished later than others, while one or two jumped to flower pretty quick, like the IAF. Potency varied from plant to plant. Even the latest of ours finished early though, maybe early/mid September. I'm on the fence with this one, as far as my tastes. Seems like one plant in particular was sticky and stood above the others, so there is gold in them hills, but you might have to dig a little. I think @thumper60 has grown these too.
