trichomes on the biggest plant - checked a few areas not just the top buds i see a lot of ambering or amber trichomes already just like in the pic

smaller plant. trichomes look to be getting cloudy imo but still mostly clear? not sure. sorry for bad pics hand was shaking

i had another question as well. can i harvest during sunset? i read most state to harvest before sun up think due to chlorphle or however you spell it so i wanted to try that out but wondering since it's already past sun up can i do it during sun down? anyone know if this even matters or just more BS when it comes to growing?

the smaller plant is slightly behind on trichome color they are mainly cloudy i supposed but turning amber as well. what do you mean like an energetic high? like it won't be as potent THC wise? these are blue widows supposed to be a indica dominant hybrid. i started to see some bracts swollen as well i mean i thought they were swollen before but some of them are like fucking massive compared to before.

how long you think i got left if i want as much THC as i can get on these plants?

They all look good to go whenever you want really. They're swollen and the pistils have receded a fair amount.

Usually you do it after a long period of dark so the chlorophyll isn't active. That said, I've chopped in the middle of the day. I call bullshit because you dry it in the dark and the plant is still "alive", so that all recedes anyway. In my opinion.

They say that if you harvest mostly milky, more head high. More amber, couch lock.

thanks for the help guys yea i think imma chop probably tomorrow morning. i mean i could literally chop now but i honestly don't know shit about drying/curing or chlorophyll. i think it is kinda BS in the way that like wtf about the people that grow on large scales? the fuck they do when it comes time to chop? just shut off the lights and whack away at X amount of plants plus outdoor growers can't do this yet they still seem to get some good weed.

i think the big one is ready for sure. small one can probably go a day or 2 at most maybe but im just going to chop both either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Not telling you to chop now, just saying don't think day or night matters.

no the chopping at night part XD but like i said idk shit about the whole process at this point so it's just my opinion. not saying it doesn't work or does work i just think it's bs when you look at the bigger picture for those that have no freedom to do so. idk the science behind the whole thing so i can't justify it either thus it's just a personal opinion and nothing more.

yea i believe this for sure lmfao. seems like this is something EVERYONE agree's on that why. haven't seen anyone drying out in the sun usually it's shaded at the very least to get very little direct light as they can.

i had a question regarding the color of trichomes. would you consider them being amber when they have started to turn amber like in the pics or when it is fully amber? im watching this vid but he is talking about the colors and im kinda confused wanting to harvest now but idk if i should wait longer and maybe more bracts might swell up more

A lot of what you read is from semi defunct science -

Harvesting in the dark was down to the thc converting into other substances, someone realised they changed back, as soon as cut bud was put in the dark so that disproved that and futhermore once harvested and dried light dosent have such the effect. The same can be said of the drying in darkness plus put any light on plant material with enough moisture and it makes startch and grows and we want to stop that process dead.

But yer you can cut anytime it wont matter and some light whilst drying is ok but more than that and we dont advise but im pretty sure itvwont turn your dank into stank plus fuck you you got to sacrifice some small buds in the name of 'Try It Yourself'.

i ended up harvesting like an hour ago lmfao. was trimming it in the garden in the sun cause fuck why not? ended up moving it to the back of the garage though cause some people passed by and said "what is that smell? smells like weed' cops patrol my neighborhood frequently so didn't want to risk that. kinda sad most of the small plant was popcorn buds even on the big plant. better then my first grow but still kinda sad for my expectations. i think it was due to lack of direct sunlight but many possibilities why it went wrong like lack of proper training maybe. i think i will net about 1oz dry weight easy 2oz maybe if im lucky. don't got a scale to really weigh it.

How much you want to grow is really upto you :-)

An oz or two of bud is great popcorn mids or tops - all will expand your mind....

Now complete twenty more grows :-)

i can only grow up to 3 plants max so i mean it's fairly decent just was expecting more of the bottom nugs to be fatter then they actually were. they were so tiny i couldn't even trim it. gonna check on my current grow i think it mainly had to do with lack of light tbh

Cut all trim and when dry make water hash or sieve it for kief as an idea :-)
