Ah, didn't know. My only experiences with dispensaries are in Massachusetts. Over priced but consistent hi grade flower there. The distillate they sell is nothing special, though.
This is how we pictured it being as well.

Like the Colorado shops, always AAAA quality flower from what ive gathered.

Nope, not us, we ended up with prohibition 2.0....now they get to regulate what weed we smoke, what weed we grow, hell we have to buy seeds and clones from them to be completely legal.

Let me tell you, they arent selling clones or seeds of anything top rated. Its a shame really.

It could have been so good, instead in typical government fasion they royally fkd it all up

Day 44 since flip

All 4 are doing well I think

Fp1 is looking lighter and lighter in colour everyday.

Fp2 is just cruising along

FP3 looks crazy but hasn't gotten any worse, so I assume her issues were corrected with the flush and feed

Atomic , I love this little bushy bitch, she's so compact and with tight node spacing, I always expected this one to produce well at the end.

All 4 will be fed this morning, I am changing things up a little, moving away from the floranova bloom , I will begin using flora micro at 8ml/g and get my remaining ppm from the koolbloom. Thanks @ renfro for helping me with this. This is part of my tapering down the nutes, lowering N and raising PK.

Here's a group pic

Looks like a fun place to be in a few weeks!
Ya i think a few weeks is accurate too CL....thats cool with me, my new lights will be here by then, have the new room setup and ready before these girls are done ideally.

Do you guys ever take the tops first? then let the bottom stuff finish up more?

I like to top twice, 3rd node and 6th nodes.......take the top

I never lollipopped, I might try this though. I have no interest in half ass hash from sugar leaf.

No you misunderstood

when they are ready to harvest, the tops are gonna be finished before the lower stuff , wondering if any of you guys are actually taking just finished tops off and leaving the rest of the plant to finish

Never even considered that, myself. New strains want to bust a move next. :D

Ya i have read a few journals where growers did it

I can see it being beneficial but will obv require even more flowering time , just by looking at my plants i can see a bunch of growth below the tops that are way behind compared to everything above.

Like is that stuff gonna be of any use if its not finished? milky trics? cause right now those lower buds dont look anywhere near finished compared to the tops .

I want to be able to use the small popcorn and larfy shit to process BHO/edibles , i assume it needs to be finished to be as potent as possible.

Looks like you may end up with half a dozen colas with 14 to 28 grams each dry.....just on 6 of those long colas.

Finished up last minute shopping. Germinating 2 plants by the 1st.

Ordered 3 cu feet of Fox Farm ocean Forest (had 4.5 cu ft of Happy Frog)...Ocean Forest Soil used in last transplant to a larger pot, early flip (week one)

Ordered red plastic 18 oz cups (seedlings), another ph meter for water,

Have 1.5 cu ft worm castings, 2 cu ft Perlite, 3 and 7 gallon fabric smart pots. Fox Farm liquid TRIO of Nutes, Ph Up, PH down, gallon of Cal-Mag.

Timber should be built and received by the 1st. My first grow indoors in my own house, helped my best bud setup a grow area in his house and maintain it. But never in my own place, the wife is a royal bitch till its legal. Which is soon, like 5 weeks.

1st grow just 2 plants......just gonna use the Timber, a cob on each.

If the plants are healthy enough I'll drop that 315 watts ALSO of 92 cri Phillips 3100k late flower. Get more trichs, and resin.

Anyone want to share their drying/curing methods? Wet trim or dry trim?

@Renfro @Beachwalker @Thundercat @H.A.F. @xtsho
@whytewidow

Anyone else who wants to chime in.

I have searched and read the harvest section, so much conflicting information, hard for a newbie to navigate sometimes

I know how important the dry and cure is, I want and need to get it right.
I just get it all chopped down, left on stems, pop the fan leaves off, put it bread trays to dry. That much weed in a spare bedroom keeps the RH up in the 60's so it drys slow. Plenty of air circulation with a ceiling fan. Once it's dry it gets the hand trim and into bags it goes, and poof it's gone. lol

I like it, very simplistic lol
How long do buds usually take to dry on trays? you dont hang at all? i assume just flip the buds regularly?

No curing for you? your own personal stash get the same treatment? I guess that makes a case for properly dried bud not needing to be cured.

rapid fire of questions, sorry lol

It was suggested i use the tent they are in now, id prefer not too, as theres others waiting to occupy that space. But its looking like that may be my only option.

No flipping buds, the trays have holes so they vent well. Leaving the buds on the stems makes sure they don't fall thru the tray holes and provides a handle for holding while trimming. No cure, not even for my personal stash, it's not needed and only degrades terpene quality. Hanging buds takes too much space and is extra work during trim, I can take a whole tray (usually about 8 ounces dry weight) to the table without having to deal with individual hanging stems.

We've been over my washing process LOL

I chop it, clean it of fans, non-frosty leaf tips into the bubble-bag.
I weigh each limb cleaned, then let it hang.
I weigh it each day to monitor progress (and because I'm bored) and separate any nugs that are touching (bending the stems out)
After the leaf-parts I left are dry, and it feels safe to touch (3-5 days) I snip off all the small stuff and toss it in a bowl trimmer then on a rack.
The tops and any bigger nugs that are left near them I re-hang after hand trimming.
They get treated separate from that point because fatter dries slower - with a big harvest I might further separate the smaller nugs by size.

To check the rH I fill a jar about halfway then put in a hygrometer and seal it up for about a half hour out of the light.
rH gets to about 65-67% and I start the "cure". I keep Boveda 62% rH packs in any jar it is stored in, unless I am checking the humidity.

I just label the jars with a check-list calendar. If I put it in to cure today, it would have the 22nd through 28th for daily "burp" or more often. add days if needed, good way to keep track. when it feels dry to the touch right after opening the jar I'll add 4 more dates 7 days apart to check it (you won't wait that long) and after that 4 weeks it's cured

How long is a tray taking to dry in that environment? still the normal 7-10 days?

Using trays would be so much easier for me, i got someone where i can put a tray and keep going circulation.

I wont need many, 4 plant harvest isnt gonna require many trays lol

Properly grown bud. The cure is just breaking down chlorophyll, too much nitrogen in later flower makes for lots of chlorophyll. My nugs taste awesome so I don't need to bother with a cure. You know how you can smell weed? Well thats terpenes evaporating off, for me thats lost bad appeal. I get it in bags as soon as the stems break. Then poof, it's gone faster than I can blink an eye.

Not saying a cure couldn't make it a bit smoother but it would do so at the cost of terpenes. For me thats a no no. Plus theres money waiting. lol
