growing for seed

Hi everyone. I am making room in my grow space to dedicate to producing seeds, and I was wondering if the amount of light the plants receive will effect the seed count or quality of the seeds. I know it will effect the size and density of the flower, but I'm not worried about bud. can I use minimal light and still get seeds?

Thanks in advance!

A poor plant will probably yield poor seed.

I understand that, but even with less than optimal lumens a plant can grow vegetateively, even be healthy in flowering, buds just wont be as dense. does less light mean less stigmas to catch pollen and create seeds or does it mean that there wont be as much weight to the bud? I'm not growing this plant for weight, just seed.

I'm referring to the quality of the seed. It's germination rate and seedling strength. If you want good seed treat the mother well. No creature would birth healthy young if deprived of anything essential. Just my two cents worth.

I would imagine that more light would equal more seeds, and perhaps even higher quality seeds. No different than more light for a female would mean more budmass.

However a good T5 light is cheap to buy and operate and should work just fine. Keep it close and keep air moving. And the cannabis you get will still be kick ass. It's a lie that seeded bud is not as good as sensemilla.
