Here's a nugget of HAF wisdom. Right now I have almost 2oz of cured weed from 3 grows and another that will probably end up as 2. of primo "save for special occasions or to impress friends and family" buds. If you are not growing to sell, remind yourself of your goals.
First - build comfortable stockpile - whatever that may be for you, and plan your grow(s) accordingly to keep a fresh supply.
Second - figure out what you need to do to maintain that comfortable stash - with a little extra.
Third - do it
- but work within your budget

I plan to go overboard lol
I want way more than I need in storage
I want to have varieties of stuff at all times, edibles, oils, butters, you name it, I want it lol
But I will do as you do and cull all the primo looking flowers from the mid tier stuff lol
If this acmpr comes through I'm gonna be smashing out 40 plant sog grows hopefully lol

I added answers above.So for a person like me with some expendable cash - but who also doesn't want to waste it, invest in duration. My complete "grow-room-plus" of cheap shit that I wish I hadn't wasted the money on could have been better spent.

They are reasonably priced (not cheap) fans designed for electronics cabinets, computer servers, etc. Smart Mofo's cross-marketed to weed with the duct fans. I have one of their small cabinet fans mounted in my drying-wardrobe. {also my 2 6" duct fans}
It's like the lights. Find what you like and that suits you, and stick with it.

After killing one clone - AND after remembering that my tomatoes won't be in there forever I decided to drop a few seeds in the next few days. I found some square pots with the Velcro reasonably priced. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071Z7HQGH/ref=twister_B07MHV674D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 which should be perfect for my 4-cylinder manifold idea 
I am going to do a @Dyna-Gro nute plant with their sample-pack for the contest. And when I mentioned this in the contest page the guy (or girl?) said they would toss me an extra sample-size bottle of a nute (I forget which one it was) that I would be most likely to run out of if I needed it.
I also got a Nectar for the Gods nute sample pack, same $30 deal as Dyna-Gro.
Add to that, I have Fosfarms stuff I need to use up. I am trying just thier "Gringo Rasta" feeding schedule on the GDP clone, and there are no solids (that settle) in the nutes. it has their 3-pack of nutes, the 3 "crystal" nutes they have (Beastie Bloomz and whatnot) and also calls for cal-mag.
Since I need to grow some seeds before they get old, and so I have an excuse to buy new ones, I am going to do 4 skunk in 3-gallon pots. Do the 4-cylinder manifold, and only veg as long as I need to for building the manifold. Small pot, small amount of nutes, should be able to get through a grow without having to purchase any extra nutes.

Im switching from the floranova series this time around, also moving away from Soil and into Coco DTW
My soil supplier is having trouble getting anything this time of year without it costing a small fortune, i can buy bags of coco for 25.00
So the plan for my garden moving forward will be 3g fabric pots filled with coco and perilite on a automated DTW system. I have 2 vacations coming up in april and may, so ill need to be automated watering before then.
I am going to use the flora series this time, micro and bloom H3AD forumla or a varition of it with added calmag and roots excellerator
I have gotten some great help from @gr865 over in the DTW section

Sucks about your supply issues. I use Amazon too much, but just found a hydro store near my new house (a few cities over) that I haven't had time to check out yet.
I have no interest in anything other than soil, just my preference, and I am leaning towards 3 gallon pots max in the future, just because they are so easy to deal with. Less water/nutes to deal with, a flush doesn't require an hour of watering and 6-10 gallons, a full pot weighs less than 20lbs,etc.
That, and I now have room to grow plenty if needed. With the 5 gallon pots, 2 plants crowded the small closet. Your 4x4's are perfectly sized for 4 plants in 5 gallons. My 3x3 will fit them, but the plants are never happy so the 3 gallon and more plants, is easier. If this thing with the 4-cylinder manifolds works, I could have 8 plants going comfortably all the time. At lights on this evening I am switching the plants over and switching the rooms. The smaller veg room just makes sense. I re-rigged my lights to gain another foot so it should be good unless I get a giraffe.
