Different Benificials Together?

I also posted this on the nutrients thread as well,but thought the dudes in here might have a different view of it.

I've tried to look up this question using the search tool and just regular Google and I guess I'm not wording it right.

Also if I'm getting this wrong lemme know! I know I'm laying this out simplistic but I'm trying too be as to-the-point as I can.

This is all in the context of a rdwc or dwc grow. Though I don't know if that makes a difference or not,I'm still learning.

First, my understanding of Hydrofarms Orcas mykos is that they colonize the rootball and form a relationship with it that is beneficial and increases growth of the roots system.

Second, my understanding of Hydroguards bacteria is that they colonize the root system and eat the stuff that root-rot causing bacteria eat,thus out-competing the bad guys and leaving your roots nice and the water clean without having to use h2o2.

My questions: is it safe to use both of them at the same time? Is it redundant to use both of them? Will one bottles little dudes kill the other bottles little dudes? Or is it what I'm thinking, that they both serve a purpose and to use them both?

Thanks bro! Also, using h2o2 will kill the little dudes right? I'm confused, I've read that some people use h2o2 with the little guys and some don't.

Yeah don't use H2O2 with your little dudes. lol

If someone is running sterile then they don't bother with bennies. If someone is running bennies they don't bother trying to sterilize.

To my understanding you want to populate your soil with Myccorhizae then hit it with Bacteria afterwards (if you are using two separate products).

Or if using an "all in one" like Great White, then you just use it at once time.

But to answer your question simply, like Refro said you can use both.

Yeah you're correct!

Orca is more of a liquid Mycorrhiaze. It helps root health and nutrient uptake.

Hydrogaurd is more of a beneficial bacteria known as Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens. It fights pathogens.

get southern ag garden friendly fungicide. same strain as hydroguard but a million times more concentrated and cheaper. i think 18 bucks on ebay.

depending on your budget and the size of your system, you might want to think about getting an aquarium chiller at some point. cooler res temps keep rot at bay and cooler water holds more dissolved oxygen too.

Thanks man, yeah I've been wondering how I'm gonna handle rez temps. I'm going to start small with a 3x3 tent, dimmable 600W, and 2 bucket with a rez. I've been looking into those diy chillers from a mini-fridge and 200' of hose runninging water through them. I dunno though,some people say they really work and will lower temps 10°F,some say it's bs.

I decided to go with the little dudes causei like the idea of them being in they're helping out lol. That and the fact Amazon doesn't ship horticultural h2o2 anymore.

check out a GH waterfarm. i run up to 4 of them in a 3x4 and love them. i do mine drain to waste with an autofeed system so it's hands off basically in between res changes.

and if you ever want to try sterile, go for HTH pool shock. a 1 lb bag would last a decade easily. and chlorine is a tertiary nutrient for cannabis too. win/win
