Right on man what are your numbers for the yield on a 1000 with 24 if you don't mind
Save yourself a couple bucks on your electric bill and dim the 1000w down to 600w if possible. Everyone knows about the sqft coverage of lights, but what people often forget about is penetration power. What's the size of your grow room/tent? The only way you can justify using 1000w is if you expect your plants to be 3-4ft tall, otherwise you're just wasting light/electricity as well as creating extra heat. 600w is the sweet spot for me in my 4x4 tent, covers the entire area and penetrates 2-3 ft deep which is typically plenty in a tent. Only reason for anyone to go with a 1000w is if they are growing outside of a tent (tents are 6.5-7ft tall on average) in a building with 8+ foot ceilings or supplementing with CO2.
Any reason in particular you're only vegging for a week? Unless you're cash cropping, you should definitely veg for longer so you have enough weight to make it to the next harvest. If you only veg for a week then the plants likely won't even get to be 1ft tall. It's going to take nearly a week for the clones to deal with being transplanted, assuming you transplanted them into larger containers of course.
What you should be looking for is root mass. Going from a solo cup to a 3g pot is useless if you don't give the plant enough time to fill the 3g pot with roots, know what I mean?
If I were in your shoes, I'd transplant the clones into 2-3g pots and veg them for 2-4 weeks. However long it takes to get them to be 1.5ft tall, that way when you flower they'll stretch to ~3ft tall. 12 plants under a 600w light in a 4x4x7 tent should pull ~1lb, 1.5lbs if you know what you're doing. 2.5-3lbs if you're Heath Robinson
You're growing OGs though, which typically don't yield much
and are finicky strains to boot. Depending on the soil you have them in, whether you love them too much or not, and how long you veg, those OG clones should yield .5-1lb in a 4x4 tent under 600w of light. You can use 1000w if you want, but I promise you that it's going to not only be a waste of money but will create extra heat for you to deal with as well.
This is the best I can do without having more information on your set up. What size pots will they be finishing in? What's the size of your tent? Can you veg for longer than a week? Are you in soil or hydro? What nutrients are you using? The more information you can give us the better.
