Sorry for the delay in posting this, so not quite a full journal. If you had read my thread asking for lighting advice, I had originally planned to do some pheno hunting and a fair bit of training and was going to wait until after taking clones to start the journal. However, this is my first indoor grow in 15+ years and I remembered 2 important things. First, it's legal here now and I have easy access to a wide variety of genetics. Second, this is just for my wife and I and having even a small harvest every 2-3 months will be plenty for us. With all of that in mind, here's where we're at right now...

Details:
Veg Tent: 1x 4'-4 bulb Sun System Sun Blaze T5 HO 6500k, Gorilla Grow 2x4 Shorty
Flower Tent: 1x Green Sunshine Co Electric Sky 300, Gorilla Grow 2x4 Shorty w/ 1' Extension
4" Gale Force Inline Fan w/ Covert Carbon Filter
3-Gallon Smart Pots
Fox Farms Ocean Forest (unmixed, straight from the bag)
Fox Farm Trio using their measurements, but alternating feed one day, water only the next
2x Ethos Grandpa's Stash
2x Ethos Lemon OG Haze R2 BX2

Seeds were germinated using the usual plate method with distilled water. All 4 seeds had 1/4" taproots within 48hours. Humidity in the tent has been a fairly consistent 45%. The only issue so far has been the temps. As a huge reprogramming from my old days of HPS growing, the issue been not being warm enough! The tent is in a closed off room which gets a lot of sun, so ambient temps in the room can range from mid-60s to mid-70s. I've been averaging about 79-80 degrees in the tent. However, on the sunny days when the tent hits 85-86 you can see a definite difference. The plants LOVE it with this light in the mid-80s.

Two plants of each strain doesn't make for much of a sample study to illustrate phenos, but here are my observations so far... The overall plant structure for both GSs is virtually the same. GS#2 has an airier bud structure than GS#1 and is the frostiest of the 4. GS#1 odor is full on skunk. GS#2 smells just like blueberries, think blueberry Eggo in the toaster. The 2 LOGHs couldn't be more different. LOGH#1 had VERY little stretch. While the other 3 plants are on the floor of the tent, LOGH#1 is raised up 5" and is still the shortest in the tent. It also has the least resin development. LOGH#2 stretched like crazy and had to be tied back to try and control height. LOGH#1 has an acrid gas/chemical smell, while LOGH#2 is full on lemon drop candy smelling.

Cnt wait to see tht gs when shes done!!
You and me both! I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far and am contemplating buying a couple more packs before they sell out, but am a little hesitant before a good smoke test. Saw on IG that Colin has an F2 of this in the works, so fingers crossed they will be leaning toward that pheno?

Thanks herbfanatic :) The GS is getting nice and frosty from top to bottom. It will certainly be finishing well ahead of the LOGH. The power of the skunk is hitting now too. Just got back in from being out all day and you could smell it the second you cracked the door, even with the carbon filter.

Getting pretty fragrant around here! GS#2 is looking to be ready within the next week with GS#1 not far behind. The LOGHs still have a bit more time, but that was to be expected.

Thanks Chef420. Will get some pics tomorrow when the lights are back on. Not much to see though. I kept this one pretty KISS. Full set-up is as follows:

1 - https://thegreensunshineco.com/product/electric-sky-es300-grow-light/
1 - https://www.gorillagrowtent.com/products/2x4-shorty (with the extension kit installed)
1 - https://hydrobuilder.com/grow-room-environment/complete-odor-control-packages/covert-ventilation-and-odor-control-kit.html (4" kit)
4 - https://smartpots.com/product/black-smart-pot-with-handles/ (3 gallon)
4 - 14" saucers/trays
1 - http://www.hurricane-fans.com/shop/product/hurricane-6-in-clip-fan-classic-series
https://foxfarmfertilizer.com/item/ocean-forest-potting-soil.html (no additives, straight out of the bag)
https://foxfarmfertilizer.com/item/liquid-nutrient-trio-soil-formula-big-bloom-grow-big-tiger-bloom.html (following Fox Farm's mix ratios, but alternating feed one day and water the next)

The plants were topped once at the start of the third node. Other than that, no special training or defoliation. Hope this helps some?

Thanks for sharing TheTrailGuy, very helpful!

Could you elaborate on how you figured out the height to hang your ES300 and the intensity at which to run it (assuming you have the dimmer switch)?

I'm guessing there's some sort of trial and error process of starting too high and lowering but was curious to hear about your process seeing as you have a veg and flower tent.

Hi doogledore, GSC's website says 12-18" for flowering. I had it about 20" the first week to help transition from T5's. Then I just tried to keep the plants in that 12-18" range, raising the light as they stretched. Right now the stretchy LOGH is about 12" away for it's tallest chute, the GSs are 14-15" and the short LOGH is about 18". As far as intensity, I run it turned all the way up and only turn down the dimmer when I'm in the tent.

This is my first run with this set-up.
I also use an Es300, my 3rd run with it. It produces some pretty crazy terpene profiles, just super frosty. I wish I could buy another one. Next run will be on my new rdwc system I built so I'm excited to see how it works out with the es300.

This is my first indoor run in a VERY long time. Wanted to keep this one nice and simple. Will start to play more next round and try to dial things in. So far I’m really happy with the light. It has very even coverage in my 2x4 and runs really cool. If it proves reliable for the long run I’ll have zero complaints.

I talk to the owner Dan quite often, hes really good at answering emails of questions I have. As I was constructing my rdwc setup I needed to determine my spacing of buckets and had a chat with him about it. He claims the light will cover up to 5' in flower, it seems a little far out there for me so I didn't quite space it that far, but I do trust his word hes always been really helpful.

I could see 5’ coverage working lengthwise, but there would be some definite falloff on the ends. One of these covers the 2x4 about perfectly at ~15” above the canopy, to my eyes anyway.
