First of all I am running a Propane heater in my Flower room, My ladies are alway doing nice under 2 600 watt hps phantoms ballasts, now I put a propane heater in the room and they have slowed to a crawl for flowering I have a really good Vent system and fresh air fans all the goodies. My question is could it be the Blue light off the heater causing this slow growth problem ? Has anyone had issues or could give me some tips. Need anymore info let me know. But if you have had problems using because the blue light at night let me know.
Thanks in advance . very frustrated.

I've read about people putting a piece of tape over the little power lights on appliances. I have never bothered and have 2-3 of those little lights in my room. They don't put off any really useable light so I can't imagine the plant responding to them.

You gotta think about how bright it is on a full moon outside. Usually for roughly a week, a few days before and after, it gets very bright at night and plants still flower just fine.

I had to alter my door to my room a couple years ago to get more warm air flow during the winter. And it allows a tiny amount of ambient light in that hits the floor of my flower room. If I'm in the flower room at dark time it seems almost scary bright, BUT none of the light is directly hitting my plants and it's still darker then on a full moon.

The plants flower great and I haven't had a single hermie plant since long before I made the change.

Thanks for the input, the unit I posted pics of and a lady I put in on feb,9th and she's not looking good with no real bud sites. I think I am going to go back to the old Oil filled unit and see what happens. Something is happening and the blue light it gives off at night is pretty brite... If you read or hear anything else don't hesitate to let me know. and thanks again for that.

You have a heavy N regimen, lowering it (not cutting it off) helps it push into flower.
I have not changed anything in years, with exception of that freaking heater, LOL. Using same and never had issues. but the heater, I posted some pics of it, with flame lit. it's pretty blue. 10-30-20 in flower and 20-20-20 in veg. been using the same for a very long time, I thank you for the input.

Well the canoeing and tips say different to me unless you have a very heavy breeze on it or your overwatering, and blue light from a flame isn't going to affect anything.

Burning propane puts out CO2 as well, in case you want to capitalize on that.

I do have a fan, and just maybe the Propanes putting to much moisture in the air, They seem to be drinking the same amount of water they did before this started happening. But yes that could be the fan I will turn it down. but like I said nothing changed except the heater.
I appreciate the help.

I simply meant you could get away with a little higher temps with the CO2 output.

Are you still on veg nutes or did you switch? Your flower nutes still have some N and there's plenty in the plant.

Some plants are just a pain in the ass sometimes, no fault of the grower.

humidity in flower room is 53% on a vented system temps are 77f and don't vary much at all. Yes on flower nutes as soon as the go into room I change over to the blossom booster. Yes I did understand that I use it on really hot days in summer and I was figuring those temps should be okay with that. I do use the CO2 when it's really hot in summer it helps a lot, but maybe should raise the heat in there with that running it may help, what temps would you suggest ? 85+ ?

If it's burning most of the time, 80-85 is fine. However, you should get those leaves straightened out first before you start pushing.

If it's wind burn from the fan, that stress will slow the flowering rate too. Are there any browning spots on the leaves by the fan?

No Brown spots anywhere yet. I turned fan down to low now, I kind of thought that may be a bit windy in there I never put the fan up that hi before so that may be that issue. and I will raise the temps to 80 to 85 using that heater.

PH is 6.3 Hp Pro mix 5 gallon pots temps are as stated but I will increase to those temps you suggest. Watering every two days and 6 days on Nutes with the 10-30-20 Jacks blossom booster, been using that for a longtime it's always been fine until now I have tried fox farms but it wasn't working for my situation. ( a bit hot )

I'll keep you posted on how it's doing, and Like I said, I really appreciate the help and time you're taking out of you day.
Someone said that before too, with that heater you may want to increase the temps that they give off lots of moisture and CO2 and it may poison if you don't vent with low temps, I didn't think mid 70s was to cool but it must be, I have 600 CFM exhaust fan and anther 400 CFM Intake fresh air long with a dehumidifier and also a humidifier to keep things in the right mid 50s area. The only thing that changed in years is that dam heater,

So I'll do what your suggesting and keep you posted.

Thanks a bunch :)

That's because it is.
Care to elaborate with more then "because it is"???

Why is it bad? Why do plants do it?

I guess lifting their leaves straight into the air isn't good but when plants are holding their leaves upto the light it's a sign that the vascular system is working well and the cells are turbid and filled with water. Strong healthy cells because the water is absorbing through the roots easily and transported up.

His type of praying is nothing to worry about. Sign of a healthy root zone.

Tacoing, leaf tips curling up... I have to politely disagree.
