Would anyone like to chime in on what they think is better 24 hr veg or 18/6 and explain theirs reason/opinion why. I like that 18/6 saves power but if 24 hrs were faster to get through veg and doesn’t sacrifice any plant strength/vigor then I may opt to sometimes keep it 24/0 all the way through veg.

Most people agree that 24 on does nothing more than 18 on does, so save the money.
I myself have tried both, and saw no advantage to 24 on.
The only time I do 24 on is for sprouts, or when coming out of 12/12 on a plant to fool them quicker into thinking it is spring (I'm not even sure if that has any advantage, but I do it).

Hey man I was wondering what you thought. Are five gallons big enough to flower in if I veg them to like 14” before flip? Any issues of getting rootbound at like 42” tall?

5 gallons is plenty.
I'm doing a build right now you might be interested in, I'll post it in my thread when I'm done. I'm using 5 gallon buckets in a sip. I'm putting a slight spin on it using some simple tricks I have learned over the years.

I am all ears. I really want to get into hydro one day for the speedy yields. Whatever bridge between would be cool too. Or is it more of an automated drip feed for your soil that is less frequent than say every day or so? I don’t know shit about a lot of this stuff I’m afraid to say.

No problem, it'll be fun.
Right now I'm actually tearing out my RDWC. I finally gave up. I ran it for about 6 months, and really didn't like it.
Now I'm going to run organic sips in one tent, and my usual coco in the other.
Hopefully I'll get it done tonight. I'll try to get it up after, or tomorrow.

Here’s my veg tent tonight. Little mystery “bubba kush” clone looks like it wants to die, it had roots when I transplanted it and the other two seem to be adjusting way better. I think the genetics just aren’t that great or that I didn’t take a great enough cutting. The clinical white CBd has a strange lightness of color to it, it’s first set of leaves have turned totally pale yellow and died and it had some other yellowing spots but it seems to be growing with some noticeable speed so I don’t know what to say, it looked hungry and so I fed it the first time the other day, hoping that would darken it up and these pics it seems actually like it may have started to darken up a little bit. I also wonder if it’s just a strain specific characteristic of just having lighter colored leaves, or maybe it’s just a weird bad genetics plant. I doubt that. It has just had this splotchiness about its leaves this whole time in veg and maybe that’s because I’ve had the lights on 24/0 but idk. It’s goin fast though so I can tell it’s pretty strong and healthy. My seeds are going super slow usually I’d have put them in soil my now but they’re still in root plugs looking healthy but just no roots coming out yet, I let them dry out a lot and yesterday had to wet them down good again because they were just too dry and the seedling hadn’t suffered yet. Hopefully they’re ready for veg around the time I harvest flower tent and then I’ll probably move the clinical white CBd and sour diesel to flower, maybe the two OG Kush CBD clones and mystery clone if it lives.

Here are the seedlings white og, white widow, Afghan express(auto), fat banana, purple Alaskan, sweet tooth. These Are all seeds from Seedsman.

Afghan express night not make it which is a shame because I’ve grown it before in FFOF with roots organics trinity catalyst and I yielded about 31 g per 2.5-3 ft Untopped and untrained plant. It is like laying over but i haven’t given up hope yet because it’s pretty green and alive looking. It’s just super small and weak compared to the others.

Little update

The clinical white CBd reached about 13.5 “ so I moved her to the flower tent. She’s sitting elevated closer to the light in the front on top of the dehumidifier. It’s safe lol.

The sour diesel in veg got some pretty sick burns on some of the leaves a few days back when I gave it a full strength jacks 321 watering but it looks okay still, still putting on size and developing those 8 new tops I have created along with four other good side branches. The two OG Kush CBD clones are doing nice one is a monster crop cutting I took off the og while it was a few weeks in flower so interesting bushing about to be going on I hope. Same with the mystery bubba clone that has been struggling, it has shown some slight improvement and signs of growth the past two days so that’s great. It’s also a cutting that was taken in flower it has bud on it literally.

My 5 seedlings are still in root plugs and the Afghan express auto was a dud. I have grown it before, oh well it was great but the genetics will be available still on seedsman.

The OG Kush CBD and the mystery plant are looking good, the mystery should be done anytime now because today is day 46 I believe so we’re at 6.5 weeks and it looks like the hairs have almost all turned light yellow/orange still some white down low. Definitely within the next two weeks I suspect I will harvest it.

The OG Kush CBD looks awesome and smells awesome and it looks healthier than the mystery plant. It will have atleast another 3 weeks of flower.

I found out that my soil mix is not an easy one to use because it has different mediums mixed together pro mix, coco loco, and fox farm potting mix. Ph issues can arise. This means I have to wait for them to finish their food in the soil, and I also cannot cannot over water/water too early. I always heard some people caution not to let plants dry out but I need to be letting mine dry a bit more.

I could put that OG Kush CBD down onto the ground level. The one that’s praying. It would be quite further from the light but would that be worth doing?

And do the Buds on the more developed plant on the left look fried? If so should I do something? Super crop? Cut the tops off early? I can say they are a little crisp and they still feel sticky, oily but not as moist as the buds say five inches or further down the plant. I could move it into the corner of the tent as far as possible and maybe even move the light offset from center

It's hard for me to tell what's what, but the cola dead center under the light is gonna get fried. It'll lose all potency of you fry it.

Just move them around until everything stops praying best you can.

Looking good. I am subbed.
Well thank you very much for the compliment and the sub, Subbed to you too! This is my fourth grow and my third indoor, my first with HID lights, and a lot of other equipment that’s new to me. A lot of stuff to learn before I really control my results maximumly but I’m happy with the bit of security I’ve felt with my current methods.

Also my first grow using nutrients, the only thing I ever used besides water was fox farm ocean forest, a smart tea my local store has, and a roots organic catalyst called trinity, now I have ran the grow stores full line of nutrients full strength on the two big plants in flower and the small clinical white CBd but I have bought some jacks 321 and I plan on dialing it in and using it on future grows. I am going to finish using the grow stores nutrients and then decide what I like most but they’re very affordable I’d say and so is the jacks so whichever I go with I think is a solid choice for soil. I’m in a mix of pro mix, coco loco, and fox farm potting mix so I have to beware of burning the plants from feeding them too much too early. I also have never ph tested before and I have a ph test tool in the mail, I’m going to start learning and that should give me more stable results.
