First time trying to clone any tips ?

I have a few white widow cuttings that I took off my girls who are about half way done flower and put them in some water will they grow roots ? They have been alive for the last two days still looking healthy. I just have them sitting on my table as I'd like to have them under 18-6 but I only have one grow room and two lights which I'm using for flower

You need it in some sort of medium, like a rockwool cube or seed starter. Plus you kinda need the cloning gel, in my experience I've never been able to successfully clone without it.

Start by getting rid of the flowering parts so it focuses on roots. 18/6 would be optimal. They only need very slight light.

for one using rockwool is a better option but i have done it in just a cup or water a few times but the survival rate is allot lower.
you can just leave the clones in your flower tent as i found they really dont need much light to produce roots.
preferably put them in a humidity dome or put some see through lid on top of them to keep some humidity
clones dont drink through the stem as far as i know. they will only drink though the leaves until roots start growing (could be wrong )
cloning gels dont work if you are using just water in my experience and using a rooting powder works better because it will float on the water for rockwool gel will work better
dont bother with any nutrients as its not needed until a few roots grow even then keep your ec or ppm super low. dont use distilled water or RO just use tap unless your tap water is pure trash
i find it best to scrap along the stem about 1 inch from the bottom up to brake the capillary wall to help the cloning gel or powered make contact
you can clone a plant at any stage of its life but when cloning from flower its allot slower plus you'll have to reveg
try not having light get in to the water or rockwool as light will prevent the roots growing as fast or at all
if your stem starts rotting but the leaves still look good . you can snip off the bad part of the stem and continue waiting but odds are they will not take after that but i have had them take
remove all pointy parts of your leaves as in half way down each because the clone has not got enough energy you support that much leaf

also i would go messing around snipping them small buds off because ill probably do more harm then good and the clone will reveg from them just fine

Scrape the outside of the stem off with the edge of a knife, dip in honey and then Mykos or Great White. Stick it in a Dixie cup of seedling mix. Keep moist but not wet. Be patient. Flowering clones take much longer to root. Pinch any buds off. Under decent light at 18/6. No humidity domes.

just out of interest why do you say no humidity done as i always use one and find it beneficial but im no clone expert so i have to know why you suggest not using it

Encourages excess humidity and increases the chances of damping off. They take so long to root and start growing again it's not worth the risk in my opinion.

are you referring to all clones or just ones taken from a flowering plant

I like aerocloners, I did learn a nasty lesson with them recently too... always have a battery backup air pump with an airstone in the tank.
We had a few days of 2 and a half hour brownouts while it was circa 100 degrees... Every single clone on two aerocloners (apart from cuttings from the male landrace I use) died.
I'm pretty sure this was preventable with the aforementioned pump.

they dont look the best. i dont have high hops for them . i think you should fill the container more with water like 2 inches below the top so more of the stem is submerged in water and i dont think a see though container is a good idea. take some black plastic, tin foil or something to block the light and rap the container with it although its probably already too late for then to take off but you might get lucky and one will live. i understand not everyone can afford stuff but rockwool is very cheap and will gave you better chance of cones surviving . maybe use that next time. i guess leave them for another week then check for roots. fingers crossed they live for you

I'll try some rock wool next time and I figured I messed up with the see through container well damn maybe next time
