Is that PPM (hanna)? I took this grow to 800 (1.6 ec) and burned the feck out of them. Was going to keep to 600ppm top wack for next grow.
I did grow mixed strains last time which is something I will try to avoid in future as some took it worse than others. Barneys Farm Blue Gelato took everything in it's stride PH all over the place root rot, thrips, they seem to be bomb proof.
If you have mature plants that cannot hack 800 then you have other problems I am getting. But sure different strains react differently, but even then the different response might not be as simple.

Obviously, that's why Peroxide is 3% in the drug store. Clorox Bleach is made of quite a few things not just chlorine or sodium hypochlorite. I'm not here to argue, Just stated my opinion. Like I said, I have used bleach before I just believe peroxide is a safer option, and I will leave it at that. Everyone here has the ability to do their own research and make their own educated decisions.
and not to argue either but you're better off finding a higher % of peroxide and adding distilled to it to reduce the %. the drugstore variety has a bunch of stabilizers and additives in it to keep it "fresh" after its' been opened for a while.

to each his own...

1.6 burns the crap out of my plants. i'm at almost 9000 ft though.

Amazon doesn't sell the horticultural grade anymore, they sell stuff,I think, that's 12%, they say to use 3 drops where before you'd use 1. Would that be something you'd use, or find another source?

I believe,it's been a bit since I read the listing, that they diluted it with distilled water to get it to the % Amazon would allow to be sold.

if you have a hydro grow store nearby, they should have the about 30% stuff
if not, check out beauty supply stores for i think the 10 to 15% range for dying hair.

Look for Food grade HP, that is what you want, it is 35%

Thanks for the advice, but I just use it as a topical on hydroton to deter algae, at 3% it does spectacular. Would be a little extreme to order it in concentrated form and go through the process of diluting it only to use it sparingly(maybe once every few weeks) I don't use bleach or peroxide in my res. My hydroton never has issues and my reservoir is as clean as a whistle because of filtration. When I run DWC I use beneficial bacteria and fungi. I'm aware of the stabilizers in the peroxide which is why its only used in a minute manner. I run small grows which makes keeping an eye on things like reservoirs and rooting environments easier than commercial growers. I don't have to use extreme methods to get things corrected when l can keep everything balanced day to day.

I've not heard of sterilizing hydroton,is that something I need to read up on?

I ran up to about 650-700 in full flower and got burned tips using GH 3 part. I use tap with a base of around 100 too so that is only like 550-600.
I really like the GH three part. It is very easy to use.

even the Lucas formula (designed solely for cannabis) is 8ml micro/ 16 ml bloom. that burnt the crap otu of my plants. then i learned to use my EC meter to determine how much my plants need to be fed.
I've been using the Lucas Formula in Coco for years. Those suggested feed numbers will surely fry anyone's plants. Maybe, if you hand fed once a week, someone could get by with it.
I typically feed my girls 2-3 times daily and have fine tuned the Lucas Formula to an Ec of 1150 or roughly 800 ppm on the .7 conversion scale.
Heres the milliliter I use per gallon
2.84 ml Micro
5.68 ml Bloom
1.7 ml Cal/Mag

This is guaranteed to knock the ball out of the park.

I ran Lucas for a bit but I ended up switching back to the 3 part when I saw some defs. I went to a 3-1-3 ratio.
IIRC I only used about 2 ml and 5 ml per gallon. I might have switched to lucas too early though.
I only used a ml or two per gallon of each, plus my calmag and silica.

Baker gave you solid advice so I would try that out first.
