The heavy rains in Norcal this winter have taken their toll on our farm roads. But it was nothing that $4,000 in new gravel couldn't fix....

I was able to secure over a thousand yards of crushed asphlat for free from a road project. Ill be covering our dirt roads this month

that's a score.... that's what happens when your farm is near civilization....hauling it in is a big thing here. Much of the winter they won't even drive our road until it dries out.

Almost civilization. Lols. One paved road and grocery store is 35 miles. Only 20 for gas though! They did the road right b4 the election for the gas tax. The city ppl that came for the wilflower bloom where shocked they were still in the county. Lols 2 hour plus. They call it back country out here.

I saw 2 State Engineers looking for a missing mountain of fill for an interchange, turns out the contractor 7yrs ago found a better place to dump it. Sound familiar?
They went around for a week with a measuring wheel, then came in asking if I had seen a large pile of gravel recently within ten years..., 60 ft tall, 150 x 300 ft long? They insisted that it was across the street for years, it was on their map even!
