Harvested ripe seeds, now what?

As the title says, so i harvested my first attempt at seed making. Seems like most seeds came out nice and tiger striped as well as tough to the squeeze. My question now is, how do i dry/store; as well as when would be able to germinate? for reference i crossed a tangie with a black domina.

They look like you peeled them from wet buds or harvested early
I always dry mine completely then I do a germination test with a couple

im not too sure on that. i found a couple on the floor so im assuming the swelling had broken the calyx causing them to fall. Most of them are as tough as can be. As for buds, the plant was more spaced out clayxes as opposed to organized bud formation. My entire plan for the plant was purely seed making. Also, when i first inspected the plant a small branch was basically dead looking n dried. what emerged from it were tons of hardy beans. Have yet to find one that pops with my fingers.

i place them in the fridge. it might be just in my mind, but the beans iv'e created then placed in the fridge & pull out later have a very high germination rate. almost like seeds falling to the ground in the winter & not germinating until the spring. keeping them in stasis i guess.

ill give it a shot, how stable have your crosses been? im not too sure onthe genetics i had, but i put them through the mud, with weird light schedules topping pruning the works basically manipulating every variable possible. Plants didnt hermi nor showed any signs of undesireable traits. Im just wondering the chances of creating something stable

I just put them in a plastic bag and put them in the styrofoam cooler with the rest of my seeds. All you really need to do is keep them away from moisture and light, though I think the light thing is bullshit. I've left my bag laying out for a few weeks in indirect light with no negative effects.

Next time, if you still want bud without seeds too, just take the pollen, put it in a paper bag and put it around the branch you want to pollinate, taping the end tightly around the branch. Give it a shake everyday for 3 days and then carefully take it off. That branch will have seeds and the rest will be, for the most part, seed free.

Just a consciences thought.

pretty strong as i like to create outdoors, which in my mind makes them more resilient. most recently ive crossed dream lotus, silver mountain, space cake to a hearty pleiadian love nest male. last year i did a bunch of mistake chucks to a malibu pie male.

Nice one,

Definitely make sure they're properly dry, before storing.

Personally i just store my dry seeds in the fridge in a baggy, inside an airtight container.
Some people like putting a few grains of rice with their seeds, but i never bother.

Just make sure they're proper dry before storing.
They may well sprout now, but their shelf life won't be nearly as long.

I'd leave them how they are in a tray or something, in the open air, and just leave them out to dry for a week or two.

Seeds look nice and healthy. :leaf:
