Anything by Jorge Cervantes. I learned to grow from just one book he wrote called 'indoor marijuana Horticulture' long before the internet, good luck!
Well i have heard many bad things about this Jorge Cervantes..
Also he is STRONGLY AGAINST defoliation..which is my main technic to train..
Thank you for your quick response man anyway!

I am not a fan of Jorge Cervantes.
personally my faves are
"Teaming with.." series - Jeff lowenfels.
"Marijuana botany: an advanced study: the propagation and Breeding of Distinctive Cannabis" - Robert c Clarke
"The Cannabis Grow Bible:’ 2nd Edition by Greg Green

The teaming with series and the Robert c Clarke book are very science heavy. Jeff lowenfels does a very good job of digging into this science and making it accessible and understandable (not so for Robert Clarke) and I think any grower of any plant, anywhere, should read this series.
I also like dummies guide to botany, but for every day practical info I rely on these forums and the wealth of knowledge contained here.

So..before your message i was about to buy this one of the greg green..BUT now..you made me have many doubts about my decision!
I will read all of these 3 books..Which one you bilive i should read 1st, 2nd and 3rd??..I should tell you also..that i have the basic knowledge from researching and practicing the last 2 years..

I would recommend that you read the Jeff lowenfels books first, as they give you a great background into how and why plants do wha they do, and what they need.

also if you are into podcasts,
tad hussesy's "Kis organics"
and
Shango los "Shaping Fire"
are full of great information.

if you take two plants and grow one without defoliating and do low stress or scrog method I can guarantee your yield per time spent growing is going to be far better with the plant you do not defoliate.
a lot of newer growers believe that defoliating somehow helps but realistically all your doing is prolonging your vegetative cycle to try and make your plants as big as possible . The only reason to defoliate anything is if it has bad airflow or is outside of the lights depth. on big plants i clean off the bottom 10-12" of the plant to allow air flow between the pots and the foliage, but nothing else
the leaves arent shading anything they're actually translucent as long as your light is the proper distance it will go through the leaves i looked at your picture and its a shame your defoliating because your canopy is so lush..
i get you think its helping but i have to interject here I hope you listen

and for good books I liked mel thomas cannabis cultivation

Well thank you for the book..i will check it out!
About defoliation..the leaves will have been grown as well after 2 weeks.so we will have fanleaves again! We just dont have the excess jungle in the canopy..
Also take a pic from my previous scrog..i was dissapointed, due to the big veg cycle (8 weeks) and the average yield..
The defoliation is not my 1st action i have ever done on cannabis, i have tried other methods also, and i find out about my self that the defoliation is my favorite way to grow..bad?..No..
Check this out please..and i guaranteed to you that the yield of my current grow will be far better..quality and quantity..
Thank you for your advise also man..no offense..this is just MY opinion!
Cheers man!
This is one plant, vegged for 8 weeks and IT DIDNT FILL THE CANOPY 100%..
I should veg it for 10 weeks..lol..too much for me!
I totally prefer DEFOLIATED SOG..!

Exactly! but you can't tell this guy that, and I don't mean that in a bad way, he's a nice guy but he's got a bee in his Bonnet and that's all he hears is that particular buzz. I wish you the best of luck el connoisseur

Edit: these are the magic words right here "yield per time spent growing" ..quick example in the time it takes you via your method to complete 2 full grows I could likely complete 3 and we're going to yield approximately the same amount of finished product in the same time frame, and for me I don't like all the extra busy work that come with your style but you do, and I understand and respect that, but that doesn't change my point

You don't need a book to grow pot. I use my over four decades of gardening. Cannabis isn't some special plant that requires fairy dust to grow. Stoner science isn't real science. Plant seed in dirt. Give it water. Give it light. Feed as needed. Harvest bud. Smoke bud. Grow some more.

I agree for sure you can grow decent, good, and even exceptional weed, without ever turning a page!
nothing will ever be a replacement for experience, and in particular shooting the shit with other people and their experience.
however, reading exposes you to information and ideas at such an accelerated rate, that it complements experience to maximise the speed at which you can learn.

Also it exposes you to ideas and knowledge that you might never have had the opportunity to see otherwise. I certainly would never have known the chemistry/science side of things without Jeff Lowenfels books, and now that knowledge can help guide me to making the right decisions in my garden in a way that would have taken me much longer to learn on my own.
Reading is collaboration with the finest professionals. Use it.

Well bro..3 times TOP, as much LST as i could, and i grew the plant ON THE SCREEN!
Also during flowering..i was tucking till 10 days..and then till the stretch stopped, i was bending it to have a fully flat canopy!
This is more simple than it looks like!
