Damn, I just wanted to grow old and die in peace. Now I have to worry when I go out in public. Just last week I took light rail from Portland out to Beaverton a suburb outside of Portland. There was a bag someone left on the train. Nobody knew who it belonged to. I got off at the next stop and waited for the next train because I had images of an explosion. It apparently wasn't anything because there was nothing on the news but that's where I'm at these days. I'm not living in fear but I'm vigilant. Why do I have to worry about this crap?

Took Australia 72 hrs to change their gun laws after the Port Arthur massacre all those years ago. No mass shooting since (going by Americas definition of a mass shooting). Took New Zealand less than 40 hrs to change theirs after their first mass shooting.

Have to agree with you there. After Port Arthur, banning semi auto's etc, was one of the best things to happen in Australia.

I think it's a wise choice on NZ's behalf, to change their laws as well.

Nobody should legally be able to have such access to AR-15's and pump action shotguns. Nobody.
Just makes killing 50 people in a very short period of time far, far easier.

Suppose we'll hear about the changes in coming days. Have to say I think NZ's PM is doing a great job in respone to the incident as well.

If it potentially stops just 1 similar attack from happening, then i'm all for it.
