You can also tie branches down (low stress training) to create more horizontal growth. This will open the plant up more and expose more nodes to light. You will also create a more even canopy with more future bud sites at the top of the plant if done correctly.I have just tucked the fan leaves under the bud sites so the bud sites are on top
And now I'm wondering if it's even a good idea, or should I revert it back so the fan leaves are covering the bud sites but recieving full light

I figured they were bud sites, I guess they are not bud sites yet when they're vegging but they are to-be bud sites in the future right?Do vegging plants
'have' bud sites?
Look at the nodes as new growth for new branches in veg. Watch a time lapse in veg video and youll see what i mean.I figured they were bud sites, I guess they are not bud sites yet when they're vegging but they are to-be bud sites in the future right?
I'm a first timer, so I guessed these were bud sites since they looks very different to the fan leaves and seems similar to the bud sites u see in the first days of flipping to flower
I watched a ton. And the growth that ended up being bud sites in those video (when in veg) are very similar to those I have got.Look at the nodes as new growth for new branches in veg. Watch a time lapse in veg video and youll see what i mean.
The nodes you are talking about will grow and develop its own little stalk with more nodes and fan leaves on that stalk. If vegged for long enough each of those nodes will develop their own little stalk and do the same and so on. Once the plant is in flower all those nodes will no longer grow and yes will become bud sites.I watched a ton. And to answer my question, do they have higher light priority over the fan leaves?
Bud sites should take priority for access to light over fan leaves.I watched a ton. And the growth that ended up being bud sites in those video (when in veg) are very similar to those I have got.

Didn't read it all but very nice!! I've grown the g13 pineapple express in dwc and highly recommend it! One of the best quality strains ive grown. Big fat heads that really swell up in the last couple of weeks! Even the popcorn buds were solid. It was very similar in growth and bud structure to blue dream I thought. Great post Mytwhyt! In the meantime, this is the best thread i've found on how to do a scrog screen.. It's also a very good example of what a well run Waterfarm can do, in a simple way.. That grow was done in a cool climate, so no extra cooling was needed.. oh, no air stones. Read it and reap... he's done in 14 pages
