Calcium deficiency?

What do you guys think is wrong? Running a t5 light about 4 - 6 inches above. Watering with R.O. water. Maybe light burn? Any ideas how to fix this? Maybe the R.O. water is causing the deficiency since it's not supplying the water it needs?

My 2c is to carry on and see if it continues in the new growth.
The 1st set of leaves are sensitive to the light when they 1st show up.
Light should be introduced slowly to a seedling the 1st few days.
The rest look good and the new leaves coming out only have a minor blemish on the tip of the leaves.
I would watch the new growth to see if the damage continues.
If the new growth comes in good you will probably be fine.

It's actually happening to all of the same type of strain. It's Space Monkey by Bodhi Seeds. Some worse then others but the picture is the worse ones. Will they grow out of this?

I'm not too familiar with those products I use General Hydroponics calmag now but I'm sure if you research you can see how much to add per gallon of water or top dress

I could be that one strain is more resistant to whatever stressed it.
The new growth will tell you if it grows out of it.
Most likely cause was the light was to close to soon.
Low humidity or high heat would add to the problem so make sure those are in a good range.

Edit: make sure you have some air circulating.
Eventually you will need to also ventilate the air but for now you don't want a fan pounding the leaves you want just some type of air circulating. I circulate by letting a fan blow air between the light and the canopy but my lights are HID and there is much more room.
Lack of air circulation would have also contributed if there was no fan.

Thy should grow up fine. Some seedling give you a funky set or two that’s exaggerated with over/under water or heat/light stress.

Yea but he did mention he is using RO water which requires you to add some Cal Mag.
If using RO it is often a good idea to add a small amount of cal/mag in a soil grow.
I don't disagree however I have no idea what his soil is and how much calcium and magnesium are in it so I just answered on the part he was asking about.
There are always variables and different ways of succeeding when growing.

You're absolutely right about the soil I never considered he would be using anything but seed starting soil since that's what I use:dunce::oops::eyesmoke:. But not adding Cal Mag to RO water definitely gives you little brown spots that's from my experience. But like you said there's always different variables for every grow room.:joint::peace:

Update on the deficiency:

Transplanted from seedling cups to 1 gallon pots with FFOF potting soil mixed with K9 Kube(light soil mix). Ph around 7 and have been feeding Fox Farm Grow Big Nutes at half dose with Calcium in it. Bottom leaves and drying out and some are almost dead. Any advice? Could this be nute burn? I don't think it is because it started from the bottom leaves moving up. SAVE MY LADIES </3

The Fox Farm soil is already pretty hot you don't need to feed them for a while if you're still using RO water just add Cal Mag and that's it

My two cents...too much water, too often, and perhaps your pH is a smidge high. As to a Ca issue; not yet, but using RO water may lead to one. Good luck
