Howdy guys, just joined here because I can see there is a wealth of knowledge to be tapped into Just getting a 5x5 tent setup and am going to be using a Viparspectra 1350 on some auto seeds.. Have grown before with high pressure sodiums but am new to LED..
Have been doing lots of reading and think I am ready to get this tent set up.. Just a few questions about starting a seed with LEDS, dimming of the light at the start is that the go or I just go full power ?

Not sure on dimmer as it hasn't arrived yet, pretty sure its 520W from the wall..

If you got from amazon id return the 1350 and grab either two 600’s or a 600 and two 300’s so you can better control the intensity over the grow. Viperspectras produce a bunch of heat and last i checked they didnt have a dimmable 1350 so you’ll be blastingthe tent out the gate. The 1350 is also recommened to hang about 30 inches above your plants so if your tent is shorter than 7 feet you’re going to run into issues

Thats wonderful my recomendations still stand. Too large a light for the space fam. If you have it dimmed down most the time you’ll be wasting its potential and if your blasting you have to hang it high to get great coverage. 2 or 3 smaller lights will give you better consisten coverage

So have I. This is the first grow for the OP. Posting in the Newbie forum.
My best starts come from CFL.
Plus, you can start the next crop while the tent is still finishing the previous one.
Still using my Vivosun reflectors with 125W bulbs.
Work great. Idiot-proof.
