PICS - Can you help identify the deficiency?

Maintain a PH of 6.0 in your feed water, 5.8 is too low in my opinion for coco.
Really? I always see 5.8 as the go to!

I’ll probably run this out at ph 5.8 then grow another of the same strain at ph 6.0 with the same feed schedule and see if there is any difference in overall plant health throughout the grow, and the final yield. Probably got around 5weeks to go with this one!

Appreciate the input my friend!

Hi guys, I seem to have a deficiency, growing barneys farm red cherry berry in coco/perlite, 5gallon fabric pots.

Day 29 since flip.

GH trio nutes With rain water & calmag. Water/feed temp usually between 17.5c - 18.5c. Usually around 600-650 ppm. PH to 5.8 with regularly Calibrated PH meter.

Night temp 19c 50-55% RH

Day temp 26c 35-45% RH

It looks to me like maybe potassium with a bit of Ca & Mg?

I checked my notes and for some reason a few feeds ago I fed only 2ml cal mag per 5l instead of the usual 4ml. Could this have caused it? It hasn’t appeared to worsen the last couple days, just want to make sure I’m on top of it.

Feed is currently per 5l

Calmag - 4ml

Micro - 4ml

Gro - 2ml

Bloom - 4ml

Bloombastic (PK 15-16) - 2ml (last 2 feeds only)

It’s worth noting, and Im pretty sure it’s common in flower but my runoff PH is down to around 5.1. I consistently feed at 5.8 but have gone up to 5.9 last couple feeds too. Ph of runoff increases by about the same amount I up the PH in.

Any input as to what I’m seeing here?
there starving so at this point it would be a guessing game could be 1 of many things best thing to do is flush up the nutes and pray

I feed my seedlings 700 ppm, without problems.
These are some 2.5 week old plants running now at 1000 ppm

At 4 weeks they will go to 1200 ppm,

Your ppm is too low
Wow! I feed with rain water at 35 ppm, the rest is nutes... I mean, throughout the rest of the grow I haven’t seen any deficiencies or slow growth, only what I’m now seeing in flower with my K issue though it is not major, and has not worsened since giving a couple of ml of bloombastic PK15-16 with every feed.

Have you always fed that high? And do you notice significant improvements over say, a plant on 800ppm max feeds with no deficiencies?

Curious to know the difference.

at 4 weeks it goes to 1200ppm, do you stick with 1200 for the rest of the grow or do you increase any further?

You don't have any defs, all you are seeing is the normal leaf color of your plant due to its age
Personally, I would bump up the nutes to around 1000 ppm because this is the time when the plant needs all the food it can get for bud development
Good luck (Plants look good :) )

Haha thanks bud! I may just take your advice and give it some extra PPM’s for the remainder and see how she likes it!!

Once again, appreciate your insight!

I feel like you may be being slightly over dramatic lol

Or maybe you only caught the lights on pics, which do look worse to be fair lol

Here’s a couple at lights out:

Yea, I've been told that I'm nuts with my ppm levels, but they work for me and I've been growing for a long time.
I grow in a RDWC system now and I maintain a ppm of 1500 ppm at a ph of 6.0, and my plants love it.
I think people underfeed personally, and yes the difference between 800 and 1100 shows significant improvement at the higher ppm.
Here are a couple of pics of plants that are fed 1550 ppm.

In coco, you won't have a problem feeding in around 1000 to 1200 ppm.
Try it on 1 plant, and you'll see what I mean

Holy shitballs I think you have convinced me to up my PPM’s with those plants!

I’ve been going with the less is more philosophy, but by the looks of your plants, more certainly seems to be more! Lol.

Yea I get every one has there own methods, but at the same time, your plants are looking awesome at those ppm levels. Do you change it strain dependent, or always stick with the same schedule?

I use 6.0 as my target because I will get a fluctuation of between 5.8 and 6.2, which is ideal for pot plants in hydro/coco.
If the ph drops below 5.8, there will be issues with the uptake of minerals, and anything above 6.3 you plant will also struggle with the absorption of minerals, so I try too stay in the middle.

My next run I’m going to go with the the Jimdamick grow style and hit those high PPMs with a PH 6.

You think she’ll be happy if I upped her nutes to 800-900 now she’s flowering? Or will it be a bit of a shock?

Thanks for the compliment :)
97% of the plants I grow, and I grow a LOT of different strains, like those levels.
I've found that White Widows don't really need levels that high, but tough shit, the rest like it so I don't care much if the WW suffers a little.
If you would like to PM me and ask detailed questions, feel free as I'm always happy to help out fellow growers.
Peace out, my friend :)

Haha tough shit! I was just always concerned with causing a lock out at those levels, but you sound like you have a shit ton of experience and it works for you, so why not!!

Your plants will love you for it

Go to 1000, and watch your plants perk up.

Within 3 day's you'll see an improvement, guaranteed.

Alright I’m gona go for it! Only thing I’m wondering is the ratios, I mean, I use GH trio, so I’m thinking I’ll double the flora micro and flora bloom, and the bloom booster, maybe leave the flora gro where it’s at and see what my PPMs are like?

Thanks for all the info, and I’ll be sure to give you a shout for any specifics!!

GH makes good stuff, fair price and it works.
Put the Grow aside for now, just use the micro and bloom with your booster from now on.
I use a 5 gallon bucket and mix all my nutes in that bucket and adjust levels using my ppm meter. So I essentially start with the recommended amounts of micro and bloom and bring those up to let's say 800 ppm, then add your booster to bring it up to around 1000 - 1200 ppm, adjust your ph and your done,
The bucket of nutes should last you for awhile, and I found it easier to do it that way.

Excellent info, thanks again... I’ll up the nutes from now until harvest!

im just going off what i run and i would be at the 1000-1200 ppm range by now
Fair play, Im going to up them now and see how she takes!

Do you guys ever get any burnt tips at those levels? Maybe I’ve been too cautious about over feeding!
