Jistvwish their boards were cheaper. I'm gonna get 6 of the meiju 288's for only 200 shipped to replace my cobs.
pliz ...you cannot compare meiju with cutter.
200$ shipped the 288board ok, and then....the heatsinks? and then the driver....

its a thread about solskin , i mean a quality factory witch is doing one of the top best light pcb for growing and....
ok i give up, take you 6 meiju pcb ^^

I've got the heatsinks and drivers. That's why I'm buying those boards... It's the best use of the drivers AND sized heatsinks I've already got.

They'll literally fill the entirety of the heatsink like PERFECTLY and I'll be running them just under Max and absolutely MAXING THE DRIVERS 143V with 3 48v boards per.

Final piece of the puzzle. Hopefully

So Boards and strips ordered, 2 x sol skin 288 Cree 27k. Me and Mark have emailed and figured a likely choose would be the HLG-240H-48B Running in parallel on 3mm Ali plate sweet sorted done.

Ok so last thing driver for the strips, And I'm just trying to figure this out for myself so hopefully next time I don't have to ssk. This is what I got 8 x ssk-1560-30cr (Actually 4@30 and 4@35) anyway I would like to run them in series @.700ma so I went off the table at the bottom on the page for above strip, I can't post link's yet need 1 more like just saying. So @704ma 43.45fv & 30.6w x 8 = 347.6fv & 244.8w,
I checked the HLG-240H-C700B It will do 249.9w, & 178~357v, 360v max I no its a tight fit but would this work ? Or am I forgetting/Overlooking something. The reason for my doubt other than im a noob at this is it says under general specs it's forward voltage is 48v which one do I multiple or is the 48v for parallel ?

If I've nailed it and that's the driver then happy day's if not I'm happy to go with a recommendation either series or parallel would perfer series but at the same time just want to get it up and running.

Thanks

Absolutely use an HLG-240H-48A instead and wire in parallel. Much safer and they'll all get equal current just the same.

My personal preference is to just use a 48V driver, that way if you have a problem with anything it usually won't burn out a strip, it's also a bit safer
yes you are right, i just burned yesterday one solstrip 2000k + xd16 3500on using wrong driver so saddd

Thank you & TEKNIK Will older a couple of HLG-240H-48B's already got dimmers coming.
Will have to look in to 48v driver's more and understand how to apply them.

Next step assembly. Wish me luck.

Good luck, just use decent cable and keep everything clean. Being clean is one of the most important things when building a light.

Will do thanks man. I hope I got everything covered got scale drawings, Wiring diagrams, got a sparky to check my work.
Now just have to build it to reach my own standards lol.

Keep us updated on the build and there are plenty of people on this forum that are willing to help if you are unsure about something or run into trouble. It should be a good build.

Growmau is a mate but I dont get the logic puck any more than I get QB96, making COB format devices in 200LPW+ chips negates the benefit of mid power which is to spread the light across the canopy, you get the same shadow/deadspot/hotspot issues of COB's. You gotta spread the light across the canopy to max the yield, The future is strip imho.
Cheers

I think the appeal is that it offers an easy upgrade for people who had cobs. Easy to match them to almost any CC meanwell driver

As for the hot spot and shadows, it really just depends on how you place them. At 70 watts, you put em a little less than a foot apart at around 18 inches and you have pretty close to perfect coverage. They spread the light out very wide too so no hotspots here.

I like strips too. I just had a spare driver laying around and this was a logical upgrade. Don't really have a preference between the two. They both do a great job.

I'd love to try your products too at some point. I have an HLG 240 1750 laying around. Maybe I'll place an order. How expensive is it to ship to Canada?

Ive got the same driver.
Best use of it that I can find for my situation with 6"X36" heatsinks is to use 3pcs: 46V Meiju 288's. They're 6.25"X11.25" and they basically Max the voltage limit on the 1750 and run just under Max current of 2.1a.
