Though President Donald Trump has claimed "complete and total exoneration" based on Attorney General William Barr's summary of special counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian interference in the 2016 election, the American public disagrees, according to a new CNN Poll conducted by SSRS.

A majority (56%) says the President and his campaign have not been exonerated of collusion, but that what they've heard or read about the report shows collusion could not be proven. Fewer, 43%, say Trump and his team have been exonerated of collusion.

Although Mueller could not establish Trump or his campaign "conspired or coordinated with" the Russian government, according to Barr's letter, the poll finds the American people continue to view the issue through partisan lenses.

Republicans and Democrats are on opposite sides of this question: 77% of Republicans say the President has been exonerated, 80% of Democrats say he has not. Independents break against exoneration -- 58% say the President and his campaign were not exonerated.

Nearly 6 in 10 Americans want to see Congress continue to pursue hearings into the findings of Mueller's report. Just 43% feel Congress ought to end the investigation completely following the release of Barr's summary of Mueller's findings.

Well, Barr better release the FULL report, or the American public will be pissed off apparently, at least those that want transparency and are not Republicans

No more redaction bullshit, I want to know it ALL!!!!!

What if the full report shows it was a careful investigation and Trump did not collude or conspire with Russia?

Good, that should make America feel safe :)

I hope it show's that Trump, our POTUS, did not have anything to do PERSONALLY with the meetings between his closest advisors, his son-in -law and that shitstain son of his, Donny.Boy with Russians,
I mean, what was the possibility of Trump's group of FELONS meeting with FUCKING RUSSIANS having anything to do with the campaign?

Nope, the shit they want sell to you is that it was about fucking ADOPTIONS?

Because if it, the report, show's that there was even an inkling of coordination between Trump, WikiLeaks and the Russians, that doesn't count, right?

Trump is a traitor, I know it, he knows it and it seems that the majority of Americans understand that also.

one positive about trump, is that he inspires more democratic voters to the poll's more effectively than the current field of candidates aspiring to beat him in 2020.
the margin should be even larger than it was in '18', the vote against trump & the gop will be epic...

i'm not sure about that...there are a lot of people running, and they all have their followings. if they can't get unified and pick one decent candidate to get behind, they may fragment things and let the republicans get exactly what they want...

i'm still wondering how stone, flynn, Cohen, kiliminik, got indicted (and several more, but these were the ones directly dealing with the russians) and none of it has a single thing to do with trump...it was all just a coincidence?
bugeye has gone from mildly proposing lies to all out lying for trump as hard as he can

he's just a liar. don't humor him. he's not acting in good faith, ever

Of course it wasn't. I'm sure the full report bares that out.

I tell you, looking at all of this and saying "no collusion" is a lot like looking at the Acropolis and saying, "It just needs a bit of masonry and it'll be fine."

There was no underlying crime that warranted investigation in the first place. Flynn pled to something to end the squeeze they put on him. Manafort was guilty of unrelated tax evasion. Cohen couldn’t come up with even a fake Russia story to reduce his tax evasion sentence. There was no there there. The Hill has had very good reporting on all this for the past year.
