4 strains finished with no effects

I don't believe that for a second! That plant has a solid 14ish more days and will definitely receed more and ripen better. The bracts don't look swollen at all and it is pushing out fresh new growth. You didn't let them go to long last time, you cut them all too early, we talked about this over and over. DON"T GET a patients deficiency at the key point when these plants are trying to swell and ripen.

You are still trying to count days from 12/12 as well, and that just shows a lack of interest in plant biology which won't help you grow better plants. Most growers that I talk into being patient and waiting on a properly rippened harvest come back and thank me as soon as they smoke it the first time. The best smoke comes from healthy fully rippened plants.

I understand all that for sure. They are faster this time so was just being hopeful and predicting a 75-77 day chop. Believe me, I’m not cutting early. I’ve been cutting too early in the past most always. It’s good to have a guy keep that in my head so I appreciate it man. Makes me wonder just how early I’ve been going. Probably really been screwing myself over. I don’t think I’ve ever had a strain that had potential to be faster than 75 days..most probably should go over 90. I probably cut most of them a week early atleast and didn’t know it. This goes for even the supposed fast plants. I see most everyone on here chopping way too early also. Kind of reinforces faulty thinking. I’ll continue to post and let em do they’re thing. Plants had more yellowing at this point last time and seemed to have less trichomes. Haven’t checked a single bracht for ovules this time. Lol.

That totally sucks about the spider mites, Knock on wood, I've never had them and am trying to keep it that way! I totally agree about lots of guys around here cutting too early, hell I've done it, especially if there is a real reason(like if the mites are too bad). Thankfully there are more and more people learning to do it right . The counting from 12/12 thing is something I really try to help people understand and change, because its only a stoner thing. Real gardeners don't say a plant is flowering until it actually is. There are lots of others on here that realize this, and share it with people as well. Just because something is common, doesn't mean we should perpetuate it. Flushing at harvest is common, but that doesn't make it effective. Calling bracts calyxs is common but still wrong. Its all about trying to educate each other and those around us to raise the level of experience and skill. Instead of just following the stoner crowd.

Alls it took was bringing it inside from the cold garage and the infestation began again like last summer. I asked for it last summer by bringing an outside plant in at night.

Now those are some really nice looking buds. What’s the cross? I’m trying to get frost like that. I see what you mean about the brachts. I see a few places here and there on my colas where it’s starting to give a similar look but you’re right. Atleast two weeks. I can definitely say the plants under the fluros are a bit faster than the ones under the hps. They are both faster than last run cause I flipped early from seed. The only plants I’ve taken to a proper finish were the Kali China’s. Loved that smoke. It did have the look like yours and got ambered out nice in roughly 9 weeks 12/12. No bullshit. It being so damn fast is the only reason I had it mature all the way. I thought I maybe took it too late but was probably right on time.

The one pictured was my favorite one though. The other pictures are a pheno of Platinum Delight that I got while I was doing test runs for Sin City Seeds, and a DinaChem.

The one pictured was my favorite one though. The other pictures are a pheno of Platinum Delight that I got while I was doing test runs for Sin City Seeds, and a DinaChem.

The chem I got going is the Dinachem also. I’ts the second pic down isn’t it? I grew it last run too and it was pretty good. Better last year. Nice heavy buds that were lighter on the smell until broken up. Pungent, woody and sweet. A sweet, almost sugary taste..a light dirty chemically lemon taste in the background on a few of them. They seem to be more toward the mid-longer side of flowering compared to others I’ve grown. Nice dark red hairs. Always wanted to do some Cindy type plants. I like that up sativa vibe. Just hate the super long finish.

Yep the DInachem is the second down good eye . You totally need to try some Cindy99, it is renowned for being a fast finishing sativa. It always finished in about 65 days. I grew the female seeds version C99 for a few years and loved it. The mother plant I used for the cross was slightly different from the other 3 plants I grew, but I didn't know that until it started to flower. Then I took a clone 2 weeks into flower and tried to reveg it. I had it for about a year trying to reveg it, and it just wouldn't do it. It was healthy looking, but wouldn't reveg. So anyway I finally cut my losses and even though it was only about 6 inches tall I went ahead and flowered the clone, and seeded it out with a very fast Sinmint Cookie male I found. Anyway C99 is one of my favorite plants, I love sativas, and it finishes fast enough for anyones garden!

Sounds good to me. I’ve heard that female seeds had a good version. The brothers Grimm Cindy seeds are crazy. Something like 150$ or more for 10 regular seeds.

Dr Krippling has a lot of Kali mist crosses that are supposed to finish decently fast. I’ve really liked anything that I’ve smoked with Kali mist in it. Straight up Kali mist is one of my favorites. Loved Cindy but only smoked it a few times. I think next run of new strains after a figure out keepers from the new plants that recently sprouted, I’ll do some Kali china again and look at the Cindy and some of kripplings Kali crosses. I have a good feeling that with a change in fertilizer and water source, mainly the water source, I’ll have no problems with the fems.

The cheese in this room looks around a week behind the ones in the other. Temps have been same. Airflow and same nutes and all that. Thinking the help of the blue spectrum produces quicker flowers. Jack 47 is slow but much more red pistils at this point than last time. Blue widows actually seem slower than last time. All in all, they’re all in pretty good health. Will do battle with the mites again today.

Day 67 of 12/12. Moved jack 47 into closet by itself as i found a few bananas yesterday. Have to rig up a reflector still. Same plant threw bananas last time as well. Thinking I let it go a tad too long without watering. Didn’t throw them too bad last time so I’m gonna continue with it. It’s too early to chop and I’ve grown it too long. All other plants are doing pretty good and no bananas. Smelling really pungeant now. It’s picked up a lot the last 3-4 days with the smells. Have to level the plants up to the light still. Having the cheese plants all next to eachother now and really seeing the difference. The ones that were under the fluorescents are most definitely frostier. A good bit frostier. Like I said before, they’re faster too. The one that’s been under the hps Until recently was bigger than the others when I triggered flower. The hps is producing slightly bigger buds. We will see how it ends but I’m not seeing a dramatic difference when I look or move branches around to feel. Perhaps the xtra sun 2000k bulb is just not the greatest spectrum. Will do the eye hortilux super hps next flower. If it were just between the current hps bulb and the t5 and cfl combo, I’d choose th fluros. Frost is much better, plants are faster and i suspect the weight difference isn’t going to be near what I thought. Much easier to control the heat.

Yea I’m a fan of them. I love the way the plants look under them and the even canopy of light that you have to create for them. 600 watts of fluro in a closet produces less heat than a 600 watt hps in an open bedroom. I’ve always heard guys says that watt for watt, you’ll get as much heat. Nowhere near. Actually just comparing the top colas and one of the fluro cheeses has bigger ones than the one that’s been under the hps. The lower buds are smaller but it was a less developed plant when put in flower.

Day 70 of 12/12 tomorrow. Some bad leaves on the main branches of several of the plants. I assume natural fade sped up on them by the mites and the dawn soap. Plenty of green leaves on all other branches and smaller leaves throughout plants to power it for the next week and half or two. Definitely seeing clusters of swollen brachts now on the cheese plants. Colas starting to get that tint and that look. Unlike last time where they stalled out, they are going all in and closing in on a more proper finish. Had to clean up the blue widows because they were just balls of leaves. Way too many tiny leaves cluttering up the inside of plants and the mites were going to really take over. Hate to chop so much off a plant that’s 6 weeks in but it is what it is. They are happy plants though. Dinachem is looking great. Not starting to fade yet at all. Jack 47 is still nice and green...and slow as molasses. The endless foxtailing sativa. Not bad fox tails but tails nonetheless.

Day 72. Another small wave of white pistils showing up on the cheese plants. Colas are starting to look knobby and trichomes are packing on. Dinachem is great as always. Had a bad day with the chem on Sunday. Walked in to see her fell over and level with the ground. In the process of tying her up, I broke a side branch. Then pulled 5e main branches too far apart and split the main stem about 3 inches. Really mangled her up in a short period of time. Next day I look and she’s exactly as perky as she always is. Blue widows are picking up. Nice blueberry punch kind of smell that comes off the one is really nice. The smaller bud blue widow is already getting the disgusting rotting foot smell. Lol. They have a good ways to go yet.
