Switching HPS to LED

Are you trying to flower with the (4) 288s? Are they V1 or V2? [EDIT: I see the link you posted, you're V2 and 48v] V1 has a higher forward voltage. Itd be the differnce of buying a 600h 48 or a 600h 54. If you want 600w in there then you'll want a 600h 48. Otherwise the 480h will work, if its a 480h 48. [The driver in the kit will work just fine if you only want to power them to 480w, its up to you how many watts youll need for your area, if its veg or flower ect]

For the (8 ) QB132's you'll want a 600h.

So return 1 of the 480h's for sure for a 600h, and depending on how much wattage you want in your QB288 room then possibly return both 480h's for 2 600h's. But (1) will be a 600h 36 and the other a 600h 48 (54 for V1).

The (2) 240h's will work. But buying (2) drivers over (1) 320h is probably more expensive, so if you can, I'd return those too so I only had to buy 1 driver.
Ok that’s good, I’ll ask if she can fit 1 320h driver in with my order

If "she" is Rita, then firstly tell her to fuck right off lol, but then ya...

320h 36 is perfect for the (4) QB132s..

600h 36 is perfect for the (8 ) QB132's..

If you want 480w in your QB288 room then the supplied driver will be perfect, if you want to add fans and pump the 288s to 600w, then you'd want her to replace the 480 thats included in the kit to a 600h. Good luck

She's a slimy salesman but the boards work and so its all good. She just knows they're not top bin chips, lies to people garunteeing them they are... I can't stand dishonest business.. Lol enough haterade, the boards do work well.. :bigjoint:

I thought a lot of y’all loved Rita , ok well I’ll get two 600s use the 480 for the veg boards so I could scale up when my moms get bigger.

I think it's just me. Lol I knew they probably weren't top bin, but after she garunteed me 10× my money if they weren't and after I ordered other chips from another supplier to compare I was scolded and called dishonest. I merely asked to buy another board to test them as that is what they wanted from me, but when I asked to purchase one she wouldn't sell it to me. They definitely aren't top bin, but the LM561s are at least C, and the lowest bin C is an s5 which is still very bright. I just didn't like the games...

LOL you den called Rita out and pissed her off
Ok I’m going to try this again, I see some wagos on amazon I’m going to order, should I get the 600 driver in b or ab..it says cc+cv..I’m such a noob at this, this search feature on riu have me going through so many pages

Ordered the drivers, I’m thinking the wagos would just be one type but I seen conductor 2 or 3? I was going to order them off amazon. And the pc power cord. Then it’s just the framing and wiring that I don’t have to order?
Ok they just called don’t have the a/b in stock untill may. If I were to get the a driver I would need to also buy a dimmer?

An "a" 600w driver can be dimmed with the built-in POT, or with an aftermarket dimmer (only 600h have "a" style with both dimming methods included). A "b" 600w style driver will ONLY have dimmer leads and not have built-in POTs, so if you went with an "a" you'd be good to go. Typically "a" style drivers have no dimmer leads, only a POT, and "b" style drivers have no POT but have dimmer leads. In this instance though, with an "a" version in 600w you'll get all the options. :bigjoint:

About WAGO's, I don't use em, so idk. I solder splice my lines together, and then tape em so they don't move around.

Notice the difference in models (a/b) when it comes to having built-in POTs or not..

There's no "Vo" or "Io" adjustment POTs in the "b" version. "V" stands for voltage. "I" stands for current. So "Vo" is voltage output and "Io" is current output.

I figured that, the customer service lady only knew about the leads for a dimmer with the b. So I saved 7 dollars a driver lol

Hopefully hlg don’t take a week to ship out my order very impatient only thing other then the boards is my multimeter that’s coming tomorrow, and what do I do with the 3rd wire on the driver all the YouTube vids I watched don’t have a driver with it. I’m assuming it’s the ground wire?

Ya, if it has 3 wires, 1 is ground. I can't remember if mine do or not. Idk where you live, but here's a graphic to help you get it straightened out. The 1st column is "Phase" (or "Live"), the 2nd column is "Neutral" and the 3rd column is "Ground"...

...the colors of the wires coming from the driver are labeled on the driver, so just figure out what each color means and connect the "sames" together.

Ok and yea I think it’s because I have such a big driver didn’t realize they was going to be this wide lol. Thanks for all your help. As I went thru led Gardner vids and a couple other guys all the things you told me made it a lot easier to figure things out. Now when I get free time I’m going to sit down and map out my setup. I seen some other type of metal guys used to make a frame other then angle alum, even with the higher price I kinda like the look of it deciding If I’m going to order those. I ordered the wrong driver again lol. Brought two 36s when I needed one to be a 48. Ended up just getting the 54v that arrow had in stock free one day shipping couldn’t pass that up. Somehow I thought it was a good idea to get more boards so now I have 2 more sets of v2 4K and 2 more sets of 35k. If in the unlikely chance I don’t like the boards I can use them for my cloners, mothers, and veg. And any side project strains I want to try out

Haha yep, I got a bunch of extra supplies that I'm finding ways to make use of lol its in my nature to over-buy but I'm a tinkerer... :blsmoke:

The aluminium is nice, lots of good builds on here using the square tubing or angle. Copper really 'pops' but a little spendy...

So it’s going to take even longer since I changed my order. So I’m thinking about getting rid of the kit and just buying higher cup count boards. Your 304 board is 110v? Rita said her 312 boards are 36v. I’m trying to avoid the extra weight of heatsinks so I’m just going to hook up enough boards for them to run softer. Do you think I should go with 288,304 or 312. I was going to get the 800chip boards but they are only 266chips when doing the math in comparison to these board sizes makes sense they run pretty cool

@budman410 I feel horrible. I gave you wrong info. The 600h "A" only have remote leads that can only turn off or on your driver. They don't dim it. I glanced at the data sheet and saw 3 leads coming off and assumed 1 set were for dimming but they are not, they are only remote leads used for turning on or off the unit. They do not need to be hooked up for the driver to work. Apologies.

Only the 600h "b" style have the dimming leads. "A" style do not have external dimming leads. Only built-in POT dimming. Hopefully I didn't fuck you over too bad. :wall: :peace:

I'd go with the highest chip count per board. And get 8. If the 312s are the biggest go with those. If they are 36v get a 600h 36 and wire in parallel. Wouldn't need heatsinks.
