HSO BLACK D.O.G

Recently bought 3 black dog seeds by Humbolt seed organisation , posted about it on insta and a lot of people were saying this particualr strain from HSO was hit and miss , regardless I was growing them anyway so to start with only 2 of the 3 germinated successfully I had 3 other strains germinate at the same time all successfully so the 1 that didn’t pop wasn’t anything that I done .
The two that did pop are just not very good at all there is little to zero space between nodes and really the plants just look like a tangled mess where the others are growing perfectly. I’m just feeling like I’ve wasted almost £30 on 3 seeds I suppose , what’s everyone else’s experience with HSO black dog or even HSO seeds in general was I unlucky or is this a common theme with their seeds .

Most likely unlucky, obviously not every seed will be a fire keeper which is why lots of people do pheno hunts and pop a whole pack or 2 or 3 packs. Popping just 1 or 3 seeds isnt a fair way to judge a company and rule out their stuff isnt fire.

I look more at the fact they are based in Spain trying to say the product is from Humboldt county in Cali, that keeps me away more than a bad run.

"The two that did pop are just not very good at all there is little to zero space between nodes and really the plants just look like a tangled mess where the others are growing perfectly."

So your complaining about the nodes being too tight, that's usually a sign your lights are to close or bright. Most people complain the nodes are to spread out.

The black dog diaries I have read have said its a low yielder but a real good tasty strain and rather strong.
I have only grew a few of the older strains and certainly would have nothing to complain about.
Maybe get intouch with them or the seed bank you bought them from and explain the situation.

I only ran one (freebie) n it was awesome great taste and smell could have used a little bit more in the potency Department.
The blk bry pheno I have is that way, just could be a littlle stronger. Its nice for early day smoking though.

Hopefully the slurricane male is solid I have cuz I have a nice size blk bry b dog clone ready for loving.

I liked black Dog, was a solid medium producer, got some nice colors, black and purple, excellent bag appeal. very easy cloner so i ran a total of 3 of the 5 seeds, 2 flowered, cured, smoked. one is just finishing now, with 2 clones, one a week in flower, one going into flower today.
I liked HSO Black DOG enuff that when i got a very rooty male Blueberry Muffin- Sequoia seeds...I made seeds...I call those Dog Treat...grew some, ended up finishing one female, shes in cure now, a week in the jar...not sweet at all. I have 3 more of those 30 days in flower...

What strain is that,thanks
looks like Black dog to me.I grew a few of these outdoors it's great weed but super small about a 1/4 of the size of my other plants
Yep Black Dog.
Yielded OK for an indoor plant, its not a big producer but then so many decent strains are not.. Smoke was damn good. Lots of people say its a decent smoke but this one was damn good. The other two were different phenos and the smoke was not up to par with this one.
