Short veg time LST? Yes or no?

... check out the Ace thread. You may find something more suited to your climate.
Done a little bit of poking around and from the couple of articles that I've seen, most true sativa's don't do well past Latitude 43. And around these parts, late October and early November can be a bit too frosty over night. We've had the occasional dusting of snow on Halloween morning.

Suffice to say, being past Latitude 43, we'll have to do this tiger in a tent.

Yup...be a shame to have your fully flowered GT die from frostbite. I have 8' of headroom but still plan on training. I read that Golden Tiger takes to lst and manifold training well. So I'm going to try and control it's growth...

I read that training one of these can produces branches up the wazoo. It will be late this year or early next year before I could grow one - but I would love to SCROG a GT across my entire grow area.

I truly appreciate your input JD. And I am very interested in seeing the progress of that girl. Please drop a pic every now and then.

Hi SC...well lots of plants either get branchy or form all that cabbage stuff that grows right next to the stem. Just remove it. That's what fingernails are for! lol

Regarding training...I had an idea the other day. Looking at a plant I'd done some supercropping on. I love the way the growing sites grow along a horizontal main branch.

So looking at an early manifold training...why not just train those two main stems out. Sort of like grapevine training. And the colas would form along all the growth shoots along that branch. You would benefit from the manifold delivering nutrient...only out along both main branches and the cola verticals that would grow along those branches. I am stoned so maybe you will need to be stoned to understand this. lol
