Not sure what you mean? Why do i need to figure out led? What is there to figure out?
How to use new tech to do better that old tech...tubes started dying out after ww2...diodes replaced them cuz they can do a cheaper, better job...it’s finally getting to growlights’ turn...

Tell us why you like hid better....the heat...the electric bill...the unpleasant working environment...the replacement bulbs...lack of tunable spectrum?

Its of "my" opinion that the quality of HPS bud is way better then the current LED tech grown bud. At least 100 times better. I would never speak without having experience in said tech like you thought i was doing. For some reason you have a hard time letting people speak on something that you do not think is what you think.
Like lets take your grow for example. I believe with 99% certainty that if an hid grower vegged for 3 months like you and your partner do with LED that the hid garden would slaughter your results. And the quality would be way better as well. I mean you see the HID gardener posting with huge veg times like you are doing. Those plants are bigger then a house. Thoughts?

What about it? Excellent job. Can you pull off the same with maybe 4 plants in the same 4 x 4?
Yes. Plant counts don't matter where I'm at. I'll go to jail over 1 or 99.
Let's see, last time I looked at the numbers it takes 5 extra weeks of lighting compared from my 3 weeks veg to your 2 month veg with 4 plant instead of 12. Then the extra 5 weeks of veg nutrition needed also, so there is 5 weeks of resources that could be used for the next run.
Not knocking you on how you grow, just don't think your way is better than any other proven method out there.
Oh, and I just don't grow small plants.

The funniest part of the story is I've never once said that my way is better than all of the various ways weed can be grown very successfully.

My vote is with the 3g pots personally.

Anything past 3g pots is not going to give good results if you don't have a long enough veg period. In my personal experience (due to my shorter veg time) I have more success with the 3g pots than the 5-7g pots. A 3g pot gets rootbound faster, and a 3g pot full of root mass will outperform a 5g+ pot that isn't full of root mass.

I only veg for 2-4 weeks though, if you're willing to veg for 4-6 weeks then the 5-7g pots will be rootbound and obviously outperform the 3g pots.

Comes down to your root mass though. If you aren't going to veg long enough for those 5g+ pots to be full of roots then you're going to have problems and lower yields than if you used a 1-3g pot.

I think a 5gal because I just transplanted into a 7 gallon and noticed that it’s wider than the 5 and when dealing with big pots that space is valuable.

This here is indoor done right.

Quality.

Not quantity.

Uniformity.

Smooth.

Flavor.

Complexity.

Y'all should all just roll joints with your ditch bud.

Sure, but if you look at the thread title it's about 3,5 or 7 gallon pots. All those pics are for reference to pot size to plant size in DTW coir not quality vs quantity.
