Too much Mag with Jack's and salts?

I'm using Jack's 5-11-26, CalNit, and Epsom at 2.5:2.5:1 for the first time. EC 1.4, PH 5.9.

I think that this might be a tad too much of something for some of my Blackwaters.

Any other idea what might be causing this? It looks like too much magnesium to me. Anyone??

Here is a healthier one for reference:

Jedi,
Too much of everything. A plant that size I would go with 500ppm (ec 1) max. I'd say a good flush, a rest and then re-start nutes at lower level. Less really is more...

Looks like some kind of mutation with that one plant throwing out single leaves. Based on what you're feeding her there's no reason I'd be led to believe it from the nutrients. Have you grown out this strain before?

I know where you're coming from bro, I was of that school of thought. But with Jacks 321 it's best to run it full strength from start to finish. OP's problem has nothing to do with the nutrients in my opinion, it looks like bad genetics.

Thanks Smoke...
I just figured since it was his first time using Jacks and it happened after feeding...that it was nute related.

Plus I am very light on the nutes ...

@JohnDee, I was thinking lighter nutes would be better too but was trying to follow others lead.

@smokebros, grown this strain many times for many years. I just rocked a seed mom in LOS but wanted to try salts. The single leaf early on is typical for her.

@rkymtnman, I am unsure what Jack's 321 is. I am using Jack's 5-12-26, Part A, and Jack's Cal Nit 15-0-0, Part B. I was following the 2.5:2.5:1 recipe from reading here but am happy to change. I thought that 1.4ec sounded high but I am a ppm man so I am trying to speak a new language.

There is no "feeding" per se as I mix up 25g of nutes and use Blumats to water. I think part of the problem is that it is not running off and salts may be building up. I need to open them up a little more.

i've never tried jacks 321 myself but i have been investigating different nute recipes

1.4 is higher than i've ever run but i'm at high altitiude. and just as a fyi, ec is better than ppm IMO. your ec is your ec and it doesnt' matter if you are 0.5 or 0.7 ppm scaled

So there has been quite a bit of discussion here about this topic over the years between (particularly between @im4satori and @ttystikk) and I am guessing that when people say "Jacks 321" what they mean is that they mix in the following ratio: Jack's CalNit 3g/G, Jacks 5-12-26 2g/G, and epsom 1g/G. If I Google Jack's 321 search results come up with 5-12-26, part A

Shit.
, jump to 3:55

Either way, I just watered down my res, ph-corrected it, flushed the lines and the pots. PH 5.9 and EC down to 1.0. I use filtered tap water that is about 90ppm. Let's see if the crinkle changes.

personally, my environment would never hand that high an EC
I should have added that the full strength ratio works on my bigger plants, but not so much for my seedlings and early veg.
I'm still working on a ratio for that because my well water, which I'm sure contains trace minerals because it's about 200ppm @ 7.4ph is messing with me on how much CalNit I should be using, as well as epsom.

I was just about to post that video I run 321 full strength from clones to finish if I don't have time to transplant I dip the clones in full strength I've never had a problem. The 1 thing I add is some recharge or something similar I don't really have runoff so the recharge seems to prevent any nutrient lockout.

It could also be that the well water is the culprit and the young plants being more susceptible to the trace minerals in your well water? Have you tried full strength with a clean water supply on young plants?

Since I last changed things up Im not able to water to much runoff but have been using "drip clean" for a while now with good results.. shit does what it says.

No, I've never tried that. The closest store to me that I could buy water from is about a 30 mile round trip.
I do ph all my water to 6.2 but I've never added the waters ppm to my feed calculations, maybe I should?
