I just wanted to add that the distillate usually comes in 1 gram syringes and so if you make a batch of 100 gummies with a gram and figure that the distillate is close to pure, then (for the sake of making the math easier) just count it as 100%. So, in other words, you have a gram (AKA 1000 milligrams) of 100% pure "active ingredient" and you make 100 gummies, then that will make each gummy a 10 milligram dose.

*WARNING* There will be a slight bitterness to the taste. I guess this is a somewhat good thing so that you don't just gobble down a whole handful of them. There really isn't a flavor from the distillate -rather just that bitter after taste component. And there are some flavors of Jell-O that seem to mask the bitterness better than others. Orange is what I used this last batch and it was pretty good. I might make the next batch with double the amount of Jell-O so that I get 200 gummies that are a 5 milligram dose. I think the bitterness is going to be unavoidable, otherwise.

The easiest and best gummy recipe that I found after researching a bit is this one:

You will need:

THC or CBD distillate (already activated -no need to decarb)

1 3-ounce package of Jell-O flavor of choice

1-1/2 packets of Knox unflavored gelatin (you can use 2 packs if you want chewier gummies)

1/3 cup water

1/4 cup light corn syrup

1/4 teaspoon citric acid powder (commonly available)

First, mix all dry ingredients together (Jell-O, gelatin and citric acid powder)

Add the water and "bloom" the Jell-O and gelatin (gently stir and allow to sit for 5-10 minutes)

Add the light corn syrup and stir until well-mixed (Don't stir aggressively or you will get too many air bubbles)

Microwave the Jell-O mixture for 35 seconds and stir gently

Microwave again for 15 seconds and stir

Repeat for 15 more seconds

Repeat again 15 seconds

Repeat again 15 seconds

At this point, the Jell-O mixture should be very warm but not boiling (you don't want bubbles) and very liquid...

Add 1 gram of THC or CBD distillate and stir in gently and very well

IF the Jell-O mixture starts to gel before you finish filling the molds, then just re-heat the mixture for another 10-15 seconds and it will thin and get watery again
Dispense the liquid into silicone gummy bear molds that have some PAM cooking oil spray, sprayed into them and allow to cool for an hour or so

Pop out the gummy bears and coat with a mixture of citric acid powder and regular granulated sugar

Stand the gummy bears up on a tray and allow them to dry for 48 hours

If the sour sugar melts onto the fresh gummies, then just wait a day and toss them with more sour sugar mix again.

After 48 hours, the gummies should be dry and chewy

Store in an airtight container at room temp -should be good for several weeks

Enjoy
I tried this. It works really well. I added a tbs of lectin and a tbs of cocnut oil. Makes about 107 2ml gummies. Thanks for sharing.

sounds like some bad distillate. It shouldnt have much of a taste. If you're using soy lecithen I notice that can sometimes attribute a bad, bitter, almost burning taste too. If you are looking to mask the flavor more, try Loranns oils, or a similiar brand, although loranns is the shit. I'll make lime jello gummies and hit it with some cherry flavor to make cherry limeaide gummies and all you end up tasting is cherry and lime. very good. I'll do double sour grapes that same way, mango-peach, strawberry lemon, etc, etc.

Tstick I wanted to pull this back up to tell you, this is by far the best recipe hands down. I've made them many times since I read this. I bought the Magical Butter molds they are 2 ML it makes 100 and you know how strong they are is what I like.

Thanks for the positive feedback! I made a few batches where I reduced the dosage to ~5mg for each gummy- and it was nicer for me to microdose over a longer period of time.

A couple of other variants that I tried (and STILL experimenting with) are:
#1. the addition of evaporated/condensed cocoanut milk instead of the corn syrup -makes a creamier mouth feel and I think the fat helps the cannabinoids absorb better....but I don't really know for sure. I was shooting for a kind of "Peaches N Cream" flavor using peach flavored Jell-O. It made the gummies opaque as opposed to clear.
#2. I used a new type of vegan gelatin instead of the Knox. I find that the Knox can make a gummy almost too "rubbery" if you get the proportions wrong....But, of course, some people might like a chewier texture. This is one area that can be "customized" to achieve a variety of chewiness. The vegan gelatin is a bit softer to chew, though.
